Safariland 5186

Anyone have any expereince with the Safariland 5186 holsters, specifically for the 1911. I'm looking for an OWB holster for Pat's 3 day Operator's course which I hope to be attending when it comes to my area later this year. I recently left my dept which did not allow for the carry of my 1911 on or off duty, so therefore the majority of my holster selection is for my old duty Glock. I think I would prefer to keep my pistol on my belt as that is how I am used to carrying and will be carrying CCW. Never used a drop-leg rig and don't see much need for one in my immediate future, and would prefer to train like I would be most likely to use. I have thought about an IWB rig, since this is how I carry a pistol 99% of the time now, but thought it might be too slow for class. Thoughts? Experiences? Suggestions?
