God I really love the P-51D Mustang. Just a gorgeous air plane. I apologize ahead of time if this video had been played here before but just wanted to share with all you guys. Enjoy!

Red Bull air racing is the only sport I watch but dont do myself,besides La Mans and US GT racing. Awesome stuff.

Is the P51 in that video really Bud Anderson's AC (Old Crow) or just a refurbish with the same paint scheme/noseart? I have read his P-51B and D are both still around, along with at least one "counterfeit" plane.

These are definitely not the original airframes. They are indeed refurbished mustangs painted up to look like the aces' steeds.

Well obviously they are refurbished after all this time, but from what I have read Bud Anderson has 2 aircraft, painted in the original "old crow" schemes, a P-51B and D. I was wondering if those were his planes. Apparently he still flies at 88! I don't know him on sight to be able to tell if he was the old gentlemen flying one of them.

Thanks for sharing your link as well. My Grandfather was in B-24 Liberators out of N Africa and later Italy and was escorted by these kinds of guys.
