G'day,

I'm looking to get some ammo recommended by DocGKR, but can't find any around. The loads I'm looking for are:

•55/62gr Federal Bonded JSP Tactical loads (LE223T1/LE223T3)
•Nosler 60gr Partition JSP
•Remington 62gr JSP Bonded
•Speer 55/64gr Gold Dot JSP
•Federal Fusion 62gr Bonded

I found the Remington and Fusion at Sportsman's Guide, and Grafs has some Fusion. Nobody has anything else -- at this point, I'd like to compare to get the best value for the money.

So what I'd like to do is maybe a get a sticky of this, where we can all post ammo deals on premium ammo and get a good list going.

(gun-deals.com and ammoengine.com don't offer anything conclusive at this point)

The other JHPs and OTMs are not of my interest, since intermediate barrier penetration is important to me. What is interesting is that premium 6.8x43SPC costs the same (or about) as the premium 5.56.

I didn't check, but have you looked at www.ammunitiontogo.com? That was where I got my Hornady TAP ammo from.

I don't know which distributor he gets it from but I get Fed Fusion 62gr at work.

Seems like Fusion 62gr is about 18.50 - 19.50 a box for 20rnds everywhere.

Other choices? It appears TAP is the favorite, but TAP doesn't work vs. barriers.

I've bought the Federal LE Bonded 64 grain rounds at GT Distributors in person.

They are PRICEY though.

I found someone who had LE223T3 on their site (conveniently out of stock) at a heart-breaking 32.xx a box. Another site has some Speer Gold Dot 64gr but it's LE sales only, and heavily restricted on sales per month.

With record posting and devotion, this thread is doing well.

Local stores in my area do not stock Core-Loct .223. Or any other good .223 aside from sometimes having TAP.

Given that Speer Gold Dot 64gr is nowhere to be found, LE223T3 is too expensive or unobtainable, that leaves the Remington, the Federal Fusion and the Federal Nosler 60gr Partition to be the only candidates.

Sportsmansguide seems to have the best overall prices on all three. Unless of course, another soul has a competitive source. I do prefer to hound the ammo sales section of forums.
