What will a 1/8 stabalize up to? CMMG has SPR uppers but only with the 1/8.

Thanks

It "should" stabilise 75-77 grain bullets. Personally I went with 1/7 twist for my SPR build.

YMMV

It will handle 75-77 grain bullets fine. It should (in theory) handle bullets even heavier, but they will probably be too long to feed from the magazine.

It's my understanding that 1/8 barrels are generally more accurate with the heavier bullets (75 grains and up) than the 1/7 barrels, and that's why they exist in the commercial market. I could be mistaken though. Wouldn't be the first time...

The military went with 1/7 to stabilize the M856 tracer round which is considerably longer than 75/77 match bullets. A 1/8 twist will work great with 75/77 and should be a little more accurate with M193 and M855. Barrels are not all the same though and some with the same twist will act differently as to accuracy and velocity.
