View Full Version : Glock lasergrips

Hi!
I got to play with a Crimson Trace lasergrip on a Glock and, as a complete noob, have a few questions. I am asking this from a pure home defense perspective as ccw is a privilege here in Austria. I am used to placing the index finger as high up on the gun as possible to avoid NDs- but with the lasergrips I am illuminating myself by that (looks like a red LED is running around). Moreover I can see the laser not until the moment I am putting the finger on the trigger, so its more an aid for the second, third, etc. shot than the initial one. I fear that I would get unsafe just to see the dot earlier- not to mention the danger of an ND when trying to solve a defense situation by placing the laser on a bad guy and telling him to leave.Aren't both things contraproductive? Do the lasergrips force you to use to another safe finger position (like on the trigger guards side)?

Thanks & Best Regards
