FWIW, I tried using the 'search' function before I posted; it isn't working.

I've watched their videos, and it looks extremely cool. In fact, I have the hot-n-cold running wants for one, but... does anyone actually own one and have any first-hand experience with it?

For those not familiar with it, it allows you to carry a partially disassembled 16" carbine in a briefcase, and reassemble and deploy it within 30 seconds. The designer says that he can deploy his in less than 20 seconds. It's essentially a QD barrel (no tools required) conversion.

I think it would be the ultimate accessory for an 11.5" SBR.

This would be the first I'm hearing of it. For truly discreet carry to range and back, I have a baseball/softball bag. One of those ones that extends for bats and it has room for most of my stuff and ammo to boot. If you live in an apartment complex, tie some old dirty cleats to it and nobody will would ever think you're heading to or from the range. Lessens the chance somebody would want to break in.

There's been a couple of threads on it, one is now closed.

It doesn't get much love around here, but the thing does work, and could be useful, depending on your application.

I would get a sports bag of some type large enough to carry. I do not want to be putting things together to put my rifle into the field. Knowing myself I would bumble something and it would cost me dearly.

Looks gimmicky to me, but there are always niche markets for secret Gecko45 mall ninja assassins.

If 11.5 is your game this seems like a simpler soluction. 10.5" is pictured but 11.5 fits also (barely). Pelican laptop case.

Very enlightening. I think that many posters are overlooking the intended use for the system which, as I understand it, is NOT so you can whip out your AR-in-a-kit and snap it together as the bullets whiz past, but rather so that you can come and go without attracting unwanted attention.

I certainly agree that you wouldn't want to be trying to determine which end of the freakin' handguard tube has the threads on it when you need the gun right now!

Yeah, more novelty than practicality. Okay, I'm over it. Guess I just needed a reality check.

For truly discreet carry to range and back, I have a baseball/softball bag.

When I want the rifle accessible but discreet, I put the muzzle on the front passenger floor with the rifle leaning against the seat, butt up, and drape a bath towel over it. Works great.

But I live in a non-communist state so that might not work well for some locales.
