Anyone watch Special Ops Mission on Military Channel?

Hoes does it fair for the BTDT crew?

Saw a few episodes yesterday for the first time. Q: what type of range and velocity do simmunitions have from an AR? Do they suck to get popped with?

I enjoy watching it. Little cheesy at times, as one would expect, but still a fun show.

I'm not in the BTDT crowd, but I enjoy the show. I'd like to see more scenarios in an urban setting. There have already been a few missions on boats and "compounds". Training with scenarios and simmunitions is, by far, my favorite method.

FWIW, I've only had experience with handgun simmunitions, but they do sting worse than paintballs. You don't notice them as much in the heat of action, but you'll feel them right after and the following day. I'd like to try them out of a rifle.

That's no joke.

Every time I've gotten killed during training is because I was doing something very stupid at the time, and should have known better.

Ask me about the time I actually stuck my head through a window to check my kill but didn't notice his buddy in the corner.

I haven't personally been shot with simmunitions, but there is a video floating around the internet of some dude getting shot in the nuts with a simmunition round. I think it's called "Army training nut shot" or something like that.

The show is entertaining though. I'd just like to see new episodes.

we'd shoot each other with em to see how they felt... left some good bruises... we probably stood to close to the victim though

Whiskey whiskey is awesome. This is one of the only shows I will try and make time for.

Where can I get simunitions? I don't want to hear LE/MIL only. :)
