I ordered this yesterday from Ed's Public Safety around 3 or 4pm. Got the call from my FFL at 10am this morning saying it was in. Thats some fast shipping! Already have a Vickers/TD mag release and a set of Ameriglo Hackathorn sights enroute.

Rumor has it these were made for the Arkansas State Police and these are leftovers or Glock just decided to release a few to the market. Whatever the story, I wanted one bad. Just sold my GEN4 and GEN3 17s yesterday since I hardly shoot them. I mostly shoot my 19s and my new OD 34, but wanted a .45 other than my two Colt 1911s which I hardly ever shoot.

I'll post a range report after I get my sights/mag release in and hit the range.

That looks nice. I haven't seen a 21sf in the RTF before.

I've had a Glock 21sf on my want list for some time now. I look forward to seeing your updated pistol and range report.

Badass. I got an email from Ed's saying they had gotten a hold of a few more (tried to snag one a couple months back) and sadly the boss (wife) says no new toys for awhile... Nice choice, seriously one of the best sidearms available on the planet IMO (and being a rare limited-run is kind of cool too).

Speaking of Glock 45's, I got to shoot a G36 slide over a G30 frame. Talk about a great feeling 45. It was obviously a little snappy compared to a standard G30 but it appeared to be a great little concealed pkg in 45. I don't see myself buying both pistols to achieve this configuration but it was interesting regardless.

Are there any G21 SF with RTF3 (same as Gen 4 22/17) yet?
Or plans to make them?

TIA

Interesting that it does not appear to have the "SF" marking on the frame, but does have the now-discontinued ambi mag catch. Neat piece.

The SF marking is on the right side of the frame ahead of the takedown latch (slide lock?). The mag release is standard, I won't buy a 21SF with that POS ambi one after all the crap I heard about it. :) Last I heard Glock is replacing, for free, any 21SF frames with ambi mag releases for frames with standard mag releases.

I have been running one of these with a SF X300 for the last few months and have been very satisified. Actually I like it so much that I am in the process of trying to find the right holster to carry it off duty.

This is the 21SF RTF2 at the range after getting my Hacks on by Ameriglo.
Shot Federal Champion, CCI Blazer Brass, Winchester White Box, and Winchester Match, all in 230gr. FMJ. Also some Winchester White Box 230gr. JHP. All shot without a hitch both with and without my Surefire X300 attached. The grip texture didn't bother me at all like I thought it would. I'm very happy with it.

Here's the rest of the kids that came out to play today. GEN2&3 G19s and 34. Both 19s also have Hacks, the 34 has Defoors.

still like to know where I can get my hands on one of these... "for the love of god please give me the answer".

Bonus points for nailing that movie quote.

I don't know where you can get that Glock but the movie quote was from Adam Sandler in "Billy Madison." It's the scene where he's studying with Veronica Vaughn ;)

Eds Public Safety is the only place other than from others who already have them, I am waiting on mine, so glad when I got the email they were back in stock.

I mentioned in the first post, edspublicsafety.com
They are blue labels but if your not eligible you can do it through GSSF with them.

I got one this past Saturday from:

400 Jewelry and Loan
706-216-2538
66 Highway 400 S # 140
Dawsonville, GA 30534

However, I believe mine and another were their last two sold this past weekend. They are a massive (est 10K sq ft gunshop) retailer in north GA that has serious shooters behind the counter. Awesome bunch.

Congrats on the 21RTF, running the same set up on a G17RTF w/ X300 & DG switch. No need for grip tape.

Is the extended slide release one for the 21SF or a 17/22?

While the Glock Extended Magazine Release for the standard full-size frame Glocks can easily be modified for a G21/G20 (by filing), an easier solution (and one that's usually a drop-in) one is simply to use a G37 Extended Magazine Release (and yes, I know that the G37 frame is the same as a G17/22/etc-but the G37 Magazine Release is different from the ones provided for the non-GAP chambered frames).

Best, Jon

Thanks gents. Actually thinking of picking up an SF and ditching the Kimber Tactical Custom II.

Ed's will have another small batch of the 21sf RTFs's in a few weeks. When those are gone.....there will be no more.

I bet I can tell you how much the shipping cost you on that used 21sf RTF.
