The local paper has a Mossburg 12 ga Model 500 with two barrels (18.5 and slug barrel) for $149 (yep, $149). I called the seller today, he informed me that it is 30 years old and primary mission was collecting dust for home defense.

How is the market for parts for this weapon, i.e. Ghost Rings, stock etc.?

There's a lot of aftermarket support for Mossbergs.

I'd at least go take a look at it, for $150, it would be hard to pass up.

I've ran Mossberg's for 15 years. Their after market availability is rival that of Remington's 870 and typically the guns are priced lower. As for quality, I have NEVER had a complaint with them and I've put them thru HELL!!!! You can buy the set you describe new for around $300 so, providing it's in good condition, I would pick it up!
