I use the Warren tactical 3 dot on my glocks. I'd like to try the 2 dot sights but at this time, I'm keeping with the 3 dot system since thats what I'm use to. Warrens have a great sight picture.

Warrens. I have a 10-8 rear with a Warren tritium front which is a nice set up, but the 10-8 rear makes it a little rough on clothes if you carry it concealed.

I have Warren 2 dot sights on an M&P and love this setup. It's very fast from the holster and for follow-ups and easy to carry. They're on my every day carry M&P.

On a side note, I tried to go with plain black rear sights, but I still seem to be quicker with the single dot rear.

I've found that 3 dot sights just aren't as fast for me as the others after a lot of experience with all three types.

I like the Heinie Ledge straight 8's on my 1911's. I've found that the TruGlo TFO's aren't the most durable thing available and in the little experience I have with the XS Big Dots, vie found they really don't do anything I can't do with the Warrens and the Warrens are more accurate at distance. I saw a guy running a standard XS front sight with a Warren rear. It seemed like a nice set up but I just don't trust that ring of plastic around the tritium. I just put a dab of sealant on the front sight so the white outline doesn't get dark as quick, then just paint it bright white again when needed. I've tried bright green and orange paint as well, but I keep going back to white. If I need a front sight bright, I'll run fiber optic.

Ameriglos seem promising, but I haven't run then enough to comment. If you like three dot sights, I'd think they'd be a great choice since they are low profile compared to others. The Warrens run about 25% taller on Glock than they do on the M&P, for example, because the Glock has no cut out for the rear sight to sit at the back of the slide like the M&P or a 1911 does, all of the sight needs to ride on top of the slide , front and rear, unlike the standard sights that just fit into the dovetail with no other parts to worry about.

Oh, definitely contact Mike Luciano and MLE Sports.

Ameriglo Proglo front and plain rear. Also, they just came out with a great setup called the IDOT pro.

I am pretty sure we had a kick ass thread awhile back that showed nothing but members pictures of their own handguns with different sights and descriptions. It was awesome...., and helpful.

I just looked at those, and I'm really leaning towards the two dot configuration.

Talking about the Ameriglo IDOT PRO's? If so I even thought of a pro glow front and the IDOT rear blade. That would be the bee's knee's. I am running the Hacks right now.

I thought about just doing the IDOT Pro's with the pro glo front and if I didn't like the rear IDOT blade I would just pull it off and throw on either a pro operator rear or even the plain blade and now I would be back to the Hackathorn setup that I like on my duty 22. Sounds smart but its still gonna cost me up front.

I've found that the two dot set up is much quicker for me that three dot and even the single dot set up, though I only have the single dot set up for a month now.

When I first tried the two dot set up it was on my Nighthawk and I almost changed them to three dot sights but figured I'd give it a chance for a couple months. Glad I did, now it's my first choice. I am trying to work with the plain 10-8 rears, but may switch that gun to a Warren single dot rear or have a tritium tube put into the 10-8 after a couple months more of trying it out plain.

Like I mentioned before, the Ameriglos are .165 where the Warren and 10-8's are .215. The Warrens are contoured where the 10-8's have sharper edges. So, if this is for concealed carry, you may one to take that into consideration. In South Texas it's very hot, so often times I'm in a t-shirt. The 10-8's hang up a little more and have more of a point on the corners on my 17. Just thought I'd mention that again.

Good luck and hope you find something you really enjoy.

Heinie Straight 8's or Warren Tactical I have a leftover set of the Heinie's NIP if you want them.

I voted Trijicon because you specifically asked about night sights. But, I would caveat that with a Trijicon front, and a 10-8 rear sight.

Now, if you plan to hang a light on the gun full time (such as an X300)... I'd say give the gold or brass bead front with 10-8 rear a shot. That little bead is very easy to see in most of the conditions under which you'll likely use the weapon IMO.

Anybody know if you can run a TFO front with 10-8 rear?
I have TFOs on a 17 and really do not like the rear, but the front is crazy bright...

My favorite carry sights are the sevigny carry sights with tritium...scy-11(I think that's the model)
