Just got my hands on an HK MR223 A3 in Ral 8000 with a 14.5" Barrel as well as a Slim Line Handguard. It's just awesome! Especially with my H&K SP5K. And yes our European version has a chromelined barrel as well as an ambi bolt release.

I will have to research how to get one the normal way

We get the maple leaf rollmark, but we miss out on soooooo many other things..... full capacity magazines.... suppressors..... oh well.

12.5” Kino - BCM upper, PSA lower
This was my first AR. Purchased the upper complete with CH and BCG, because I knew just enough to know BCM was good. Got the lower complete, made sure it ran fine, then gradually replaced all large parts over the last three years. It is SBR’d, though lived as a pistol while testing and waiting. Forgive the combo photo; I have two loves, and I rarely take pictures of either.
300 BLK PISTOL
-8.3” BA Hanson bbl w/Omega 9K
-7.75” SLR Solo Lite rail
- Advanced Armament upper and BCG
-LRB lower w/ Geissele trigger
I tried it with an SBR lower and PDW stock, but like this configuration better. Makes my 9” SBR w/ Recce 7 look huge. Just got the 9K so have only shot with the bigger can so far. No malfs super or sub.

Good eye, had an old 2x acog. It now runs an Aimpoint Pro. You still gotta know how to run the irons though.

I looked at your pic and thought it was a perfect setup for quick-detach of the optic in order to use the carry handle sights. Is that not how you deploy it?
I used to do that on my very earliest M4. I had a mini ACOG attached to the carry handle and I could take it off to use the irons if that range day seemed to call for it.
Now I just keep a Colt 6920 in the factory condition with carry handle for my iron sight use. The BCM gets all the doodads.

It is a fun shooter with an interesting recoil impulse. If you were local you could borrow it.
With cheap ammo this thing can really put out a blast, with it isn't bad at all with decent ammo, and it is a phenomenonal shooter.

Speaking of shooting cheap ammo... 2 groups with wolf gold, 1 group with MEN 556A, 1 group with PPU m193 -- PPU had the best group but they were all pretty solid (<1.75"). 0.76moa is pretty damn good for ammo that costs about 30cents per round. Unfortunately I only had 5 rounds of the PPU so need to get back out and see if it is repeatable. These MRPs are a little on the heavy side but are impressive rifles.

Awesome rifle! Blacked out stretch MRPs in Afghan/Recce configs do it for me. It appears that your shooting ability, and rifle config. will allow you to take full advantage of the MRP's accuracy/precision potential. I bet you could make 5 rounds touch if you switched to factory loaded Hornady 55gr. Vmax.
I've always wanted a 14.5" MRP barrel. I'd be all over a 14.5" MRP barrel with DD's 14.5" LW profile.

Thanks. I have a few different factory match loads laying around but no 55gr Vmax. I'll have to pick some up and see what match ammo it likes but if it keeps shooting the PPU like that, I probably will just keep at it with the cheap stuff haha.

Stick posted about it a time or two before at least. I don't remember the manufacturer but I think the buffer is down inside the stock with a pivoting "push rod" between the BCG and buffer to account for the angle.
I'd like to hear how it handles. It appears that it would be similar to a bolt gun where the left hand holds the gun by the forend while the firing hand operates the magazine and charging handle. Essentially it looks too front heavy to hold by the pistol grip for manipulations like a standard AR.

Going with the former and not the latter. It looks much more pleasing to the eye than say the Thordsen stocks meant as a work around to the NY unSAFE Act.

Took a few out on Saturday, testing one, running some drills with the others. Tried my SB Tactical PDW Brace for the first time. Had I tried that brace instead of the brace I did try, I may have not SBR’d any of my lowers. Man I love that thing. And wanted to put some rounds through my new can.

I think some people might need to think of what it would be like getting called into the Police Chief, First Sgt, or Commanders Office and finding that picture printed out. Then trying to explain why it was on their work computer account. The picture isn't funny, goofy, or FMJish anymore. If a search is done looking for gay porn, and all that is being shown is images, I don't think I would be enjoying trying to explain that M4C is a prestigious weapon forum dedicated to the M4.
Here is a quick example, a cop got nailed for surfing "porn" offduty where his shift mandated he sit in a cruiser on the highway with his lights going in a construction zone. I'm not exactly sure what sort of "porn" he was looking at, but I know there were a bunch of guys who got in trouble for being on fitness/ workout forums because there were scantily clad women, and those pictures could be degrading depending upon who saw them. The only reason they got in trouble was because of the first officer.
Not to beat a dead horse, but not everyone surfs M4C from their house. The above is meant for everyone who posts pictures, especially "creative ones".

Have you used the coupling feature on the ETS mags? Specifically mag change scenarios during drills? I’ve been “testing” their Glock mags for almost two years I think and while I’m not going to replace my oem Glock mags in my kit, I do prefer the ETS over the other OTS mags out there.
I have not tried their 5.56 mags though and a little curious on the coupler.
Any thoughts? If you prefer to PM so the thread is not derailed that’s fine too. :)

I can’t speak for the 5.56 versions, but a friend of mine and Itried to break a 9mm version and it held up.

I don't know what Remington has been doing with these for the past 8 years or so, but I've seen crates of them. The Remington MIL side of the house needs to learn how to earn its keep and play well with the other side of Remington. The .mil project didn't pan out, but while the R5 was featured in video games (COD), they should have flooded the market with them at DECENT PRICES. If Remington was serious about the AR market, they would have the R5 or RGP upper out and selling for $1500 or so. The only way they get their investment money back is by selling them, NOT by having them sitting boxed up in a warehouse.
If you want something heavy, expensive, and that not many people have seen or hear of.... and $3k is nothing to you, sure, go ahead and get one.

Interesting, was unaware of the R5 RGP as well. Piston driven, monolithic upper eh? Not really my cup of tea though. So Remington never got any contracts for this? What the heck are they going to do with them?

What hosting site are you using? Try using tumblr, I don't even think you need an account (but it is free and worth doing). Their site has never been down, and doesn't have any limits on how often the images can be viewed.

Stick, does that rail being as long as it is and having the light that far forward make the rifle overly front heavy? I've been thinking of getting either a RIS II or Centurion Arms C4 rail with the FSP. It'd go on my 6920 w/16" barrel.
