First build is complete. 14.5 BCM upper with Govt profile Barrel, BCM Comp Mod1. Midwest Industries SSK-12 rail, BCM BCG. Aero Lower with BCM LPK. Troy BUIS.
I should have gotten a LW barrel form BCM for same price but still a pretty lightweight setup with this rail. Will shoot it with irons until I decide which RDS I want.

Arisaka Mossie Mount and LaserMax Uni-Max laser unit, if you mean the front. As soon as I get the bayonet lug lopped off to make room for it, the barrel's getting an Indian Creek blast-can around the AFAB brake. (Since this thing is meant to live in a briefcase, there's also a muzzle cap to keep lint and crud out.) Right side has a tape-switch for the laser, thumbrest and Olight pistol light, below is a FAB Defense PTK angled foregrip. Left side has a mag carrier, 40-round PMAG and SBM4 brace.
I also prettied it up a little with DSA's "enhanced" delta ring designed to complement CASV's and Magpul handguards, my one indulgence in adding "form" to "function."
I do. It's not good when you realize you have $1500-3000 in some builds. Not hard to get there fast with optics.

It sucks. Gotta make do with what they give me. It’s not as bad as it seems. Like holding a shotgun plus I get to drop mags freely. I tried the maglocks but didnt like it.

These laws never were meant to protect anyone so much as discourage people from buying or being able to buy guns. For that reason I respect people who live in these states that jump through whatever hoops are presented and not let their overlords discourage them from doing so. Be proud of every firearm you own and get others near you to do the same. That's how these laws will change by getting more people interested in order to fight to get those rights back. Don't let them win by decreasing the number of those who are opposed to such legislation. Sorry for the OT mushy stuff in a picture thread but I feel it's important for people to read that those of us in supposed "free-states" support them.

It sure is! PSA had them pretty cheap so I thought it would be the perfect match for the 16" blem upper I got from them a while back. Coupled it with their MOE/enhanced trigger LBK which was also on sale and the result was a pretty solid budget build.

Here is my first build... I had an old HD Bushmaster barrel from the early 2000s that I never used, got a BCM M4 Upper, picked up a complete 6920 lower, a Colt M4 BCG, and LOTS of Magpul accessories. I'm going to Cera-kote it OD then camo on top of that with Krylon. The scope is a Nikon P-Tactial Red Dot. Sling is a Blue Force. Rear sight is a Magpul MBUS Pro.... Oh and the light is a 15+ year old Surefire I had in a drawer! 5675856759

Nice budget build! I firmly believe all spare parts eventually grow into complete rifles eventually.
Bought a cheap $75 Barska 4X20 scope on amazon. It's a well made scope with positive and meaningful adjustments. I was concerned about it being mounted too high to get a good cheek weld but that's not the case, it's fine and I can still use the irons with the scope installed should I ever feel the need.

I'd like to try and retake this picture on a drier day with less glare. Anyhow, I swapped out my Raptor with a basic CH and the Magpul VFG with the KAC; feels much more authentic. Still not a Block 1.5 clone or anything, but it's closer.

Finally finished up a BAD556-LW receiver set with a 16" Black River Tactical Optimized profile barrel I got on the EE here. Cryptic PVD BCG, Geissele SD-C, Raptor CH, BAD ST safety and pins.
Sub 7lb as pictured with RDS, BUIS, and light.

It was completely stripped receiver except for some proprietary parts for the mag release. I think it is a 416 marked GEN 2 Rec. At the time my son bought 2 POF receivers, this one he kept and he sold the other one that was in 308. I know there was a pin supplied by POF that did not work in the mag release so I contacted POF and sent them a pic of the pin next to a ruler and they determined it was not the correct pin. They did send me a replacement pin. Their customer service was not real easy to work with.
The upper has a 10.25" barrel and works perfectly on the Semi auto lower and even on my Colt M16 without any issues.

I picked up the base CR6720 rifle at a local gun shop in like new condition. I found out that these would have come from the factory with a Colt branded Warne scope mount (PN: 1401) so I tracked down one of them. Then, as luck would have it, I had an opportunity presented to me by a friend to buy the Colt branded 3-9x40 scope that was sold around the same time the rifle was made.
I would like to know who the scope manufacturer is if anyone happens to know.

I dig the Top AR-Blaster better though...;)I've seen it being called the "gangster grip". It's an old setup that I re-created with a cheap 30mm scope ring, spacer, Surefire 6P with IR filter, electrical tape, and a chopped A2 grip. The grey thing is an aluminum Redi-mag MK1 to hold an extra magazine.

My humble little 6920 OEM-1 I picked up on Thursday. Has cheap rail and furniture on it until the stuff breaks or I feel like throwing something better on it. I think it looks cool with a garand sling. Shoots great, keeps 55gr in an inch or less at 50yd using the little MBUS. I love this thing.

Yup. Right-handed but extremely left eye dominant. Been shooting long guns lefty for years now. I really like the MI offset sights because they can be assembled to mount on either side of the gun.

Very impressed with the BCM upper, only wish they could have supplied it "Clone Correct" with Tri-Rail, A2 flash hider and Canadian green handguards. Right now I think first stop is my pro gunsmith neighbor's shop to get the FH changed and see about Cerakoting the furniture.

how is the 203 mounted ?It's mounted to the RIS II, free floated from the barrel. The m203 rests on the rail near the barrel nut and is held in front by two tabs that rotate down when the bottom of the rail is removed.

I think I've seen it described as "just long enough to mount the M203 but just short enough to clear the can." (Then again, there's also that persistent rumor about lo-pro GL/SSC's built with midlength URX II's... would be nice if we could get it put to rest one way or the other someday.)

The shoulder of the barrel sits just outside the end of the rail, protruding a little bit more than a 10.3 on a mk18 ris II.

Always wanted a MK18 and since finally moving out of Kalifornia a few years ago I got one just in time for Independence Day! Along with an AAC SR5 suppressor. Took just over 11 months for the stamps. Life is good.

I've found its return to zero to be superior to other QD mounts I've used before. But then again, it's not QD like the others.

Colt upper (Colt 6720 pencil barrel, BCG and CH). Barrel cut to 14.5 and pinned/welded with a BCM comp. Scaler BUIS in the rear with stock FSB. Old Tasco Aimpoint clone for an RDS. CASV-EL HG and mounted it all on a 19 year old BM lower (w/ACT) and a UBR (GEN 1).
