They did, and I declined the nomination. I sent them an email explaining that while I appreciated the thought, I didn't need recognition as pretty much every one in the industry already knew me and my work. I felt it would be better to use the platform for new guys who were trying to get established. With social media platforms being heavily biased against firearm images (except a few who manage to get around it), some of these newer guys don't get the chance for recognition that they deserve.
Gotcha, I'm with you on "renewed or repeat contracts, meaning 'paychecks,' are the best recognition possible" and respect the mindset of "I've made my bones so let the next generation have room to grow."

Hopefully it goes well, but if they do the multiple votes, buying votes, or anything else that way, I would lose faith in it and suspect it of being more like a "look at us event". One vote per person, keep skanky girls out, and then I would consider it legit. However, its their game, their rules, and I still hope it goes well. Eventually it will tie into a SHOT Show dinner or something I would guess.
Think I did see multiple voting, and now it raises questions about Aero with me for being part of it. Not a "guilt by association," but more a "things that need examining" sense.

The X300 is really a super universal light. If I could only have one flashlight for everything, it would be the X300 series.

Alot of work in. Easy shooter for most to shoot sub moa, regardless of thier shooting abilities. And recoil is almost none existent with the h3 Sound Midagation Buffer and 416SS barrel. Just a few more things I'm waiting mail and I'll post full build.

Pretty cool results you can get with portrait mode, even on my iPhone 8. I would imagine the 11’s are very nice but silly money imo.

Just picked up this really badass SIG MCX Virtus rifle today, it's my first piston gun and I'm really liking the modularity of it and the ease of swapping rails and barrels. I can't wait to shoot it and love the grey color.

I actually bought it as is, there’s a guy on Instagram who buys and chops new M4A1 rails, and refinishes the ends so they look brand new, and match perfectly.

I really like the Vltor E-Mod. I have them on several of my AR's with both Commercial, as well as Mil-Spec buffer tubes. The are a nice solid stock that offers a bit more length of pull when fully extended. Which is good for me because I've got long arms, and I don't shoot in a Ninja suit. Both my LWRC guns came with them, which is what turned me on to them. Since I've put them on both of my Colts, and several of my other AR's. What butt stocks do you guys prefer?

Yeah, I think the shade of DRC color on the above rifle is my favorite weapon color. I guess DRC or any color anodizing can vary quite a bit from batch to batch.

I love them. Fast magnification transition, huge field of view and bomb proof.

Advice, skip Retro Rifles and look into the B5-engineered Brownells CAR they use on their XM177. I have two, one for my gal's C8 and one set aside in case we build her a companion C7, and they seem pretty solid. Now if only we could get them to cut correct buttpads to go with them...

I like it a lot. I am gravitating back toward the CAR/M4 clone. I like AR's of all kinds, but keeping it simple has it's benefits.

Elcan M134? Jelly... again.

Its got the MGO reticle in it as well, which is pretty slick. I can take it out to 500, but I'm not sure if I can find a range off my property which goes out farther. Then again, 500 isn't bad and since I got it used, I'm more concerned about it holding zero and being all good inside.

Nope, I know it can convert or be modified, but I have always been too lazy to dig into it. I think the 1187 and 870 use the same stock though, so I could give it a try.

I just helped my brother put this together... it’s an “if I could only have 1” build.
He knows nothing about ARs, and asked me what he should get... this is what I came up with.
I believe it is perfect for a single AR home. very well balanced just over 8#, and doesn’t look too bad either.
Put the light on a VTAC Mount since these pics.. much better.
16” fluted BA barrel is Sooo nice!

I think I’ve seen that before as an early GWOT ghetto rigged solution. Kind of weird on a 416 with PEQ-15 though because that’s definitely not early GWOT stuff. Also, that looks more like a rendering than a real photo.

Looks aren't everything. I've used it shooting full auto many times. It's solid. I had the means to integrate a remote switch so why not. My thumb can stay wrapped while activating the light. What about the front sight? Go ahead and share my build or make a thread about it. I don't really care.

What's it weigh? Usually the round hand guards don't really do it for me, but the tubular lines on that rifle really impress, from the stock forward all the way to the suppressor mount. I'll bet it looks sweet with the can on it too. Post another pic if you have one. Nice job.

They all look good. You certainly like PSA.

None of them have failed except the .22lr that had a broken firing pin after 2 years and about 15,000 rounds and PSA fixed it right up free shipping back and forth to Hawaii.

All my other AR's are Colt lowers stuck in a storage unit in Texas. PSA quality and price point are a huge factor in both quality and quantity.

I built my first AR pistol. Aero lower with a strike industry mag release, pivots, and magazine drop, pistol grip is Magpul MOE-K2+. I didn’t like safety in Strike Industry parts so I used a Spike’s Tactical safety instead. CMC single stage 3.5lb trigger. The upper receiver is fully assembled 10.5” by Aero. Charging handle and BCG are BCM. The hand guard is 9” Troy M-LOK.

We don’t issue it. I’m budgeting for a personal purchase in the fall. Since lasers are prohibited by policy (...admin and logic have never gone well together...), passive aiming would be my only option. The FAST setup appealed to me for other reason, though, too. The magnifier mount is genius.

Good deal. My agency prohibits lasers as well. I was needing a sign off from admin to test a laser and was denied. Their reasoning was it everyone had lasers you wouldn’t know what laser was yours. I didn’t even respond

I'm jealous of everyone's SBRs but just wanted to show the depths of my quarantine desperation.

The DD MK18 upper with FDE RIS and various FDE furniture and Coyote mag were crying out for more FDE but I only had Khaki Krylon... I am hoping it looks better after getting worn in or if I work up the courage to paint the RIS and do a full camo scheme.

Out of my too many carefully spec'd and over invested ARs this one hits a sweet spot of size/weight/quality that allows repeatable hits on IPSC steel at 300Y from standing.

It ain’t cheap but check Shamazon for Aervoe Coyote. It’s as close to FDE as I’ve found and it’s a pretty hardy paint. If I have the colors I prefer using Aervoe for my rattle can guns.

I've used AR15s before for hog hunting, but didn't own one until recently. Because of the Covid hysteria, I had to go with a lower and upper from different sellers. Ended up going with a 14.5" BCM upper and lower. Because of my eyes, I chose to go with the prism sight which is heavy, but at least I can get on target quickly with it.

I have Aluma Hyde but it goes on a little thick and too permanently for this build. The upper receiver below is done in AlumaHyde Earth Brown and it's noticeably darker than the Magpul FDE handguard.

Brownells FDE is backordered. I ordered some Aervoe coyote so we will see....
