Thx. The black one is a real HK part I had in my old parts bin and the FDE one is an airsoft version from evike.

No reason to use a VFG when you can use a BCM which has a cant to it, and will serve the same purpose. It eliminates the questions from people, and VERTICAL means exactly that. Any deviation from the straight line is no longer vertical.

I'm no badass, just an everyman suburban husband/dad. I do absolutely agree with Feline's sentiments above and in that vein, here is my grab and go kit. A 6920 with a couple of spare mags, sling, and ear and eye pro.

Nailed it. Thanks, friend.Glad to help, looked familiar as i was looking over their stuff a bit ago. Asked them if they had taller mount for the PRO as I have one of the lower 1/3rd mounts. Wanted to go up to 1.93 or one of the other common tall mounts. Unfortunately they said they didn't at this time but I'll try asking again later.

In the meantime I just ordered a YHM riser to test it out and see if I like the hight.

Definitely.

Zero downsides. You’ll no longer be beholden to goofy mega-ultra-super-duper-hyper extended mounts and that upper receiver just got braced against flexion.

I absolutely love a swan sleeve.

ARMS no longer makes the ones which were on the original MK12, the one that is on mine is the early model from when they were still being made. ARMS continues to make similar sleeves (SWAN SLEEVES), and PRI makes one which is kinda similar which is typically used by cloners. The other ARMS sleeves come in a variety of lengths, I've got a shorter one setup waiting for a scope currently.

Yes, but one of the important things to remember is that the weight of any barrel and rail work as leverage against you. Not an issue in a vehicle, but up on target you can certainly feel it. With that out of the way, the RIS 3 models that I have feel noticeably lighter than their RIS 2 counterparts. I would start a thread, but I'm too lazy.

Yeah, but I got a good price on it used, and I already had that sheath laying around in my magic box of sheaths. So I have a Buck knife that I cleaned up because it looked like death had spit on it and let it dry, which has now been cleaned, but still looks like a beaver went to work on the blade. I reprofiled the blade, and its wickedly sharp now. When I first got it, the angles on each side were all messed up.

Don't love the bullet shaped floor plate retention. Maybe not a big deal when loaded as there would be more spring pressure on them but seems easier to dislodge the baseplate.

Yes it is. The second generation (shown here) seems improved over the first gen. It seems less "sticky" if that makes any sense.

Its not a repro. This one was carried in Vietnam, and the blade was replaced with a hardened M7 blade IIRC. I'll be posting up a closer pic pretty soon. Its part of a small collection of knives I used and was trained with as a yute. Punching and stabbing trees is not easy on the hands with a metal handle.

It works out well. I'm much more used to using military weapons, but KE makes a great option for keeping builds simple and light weight. They really nailed the length of pull on the stock as well.

Yes, Taurus has improved a lot. After some real big issues, including several legal actions from law enforcement here in Brazil, due to failures in the most critical moment, a new administration raise and things moved to the right way.
New pistols and rifles are way better, and being submited to severe use in sports and police use, are getting good reviews.
