Well, one of us went right over and bought a copy. I told my wife she can wrap it for me for Christmas.

They did a very nice job on the book. It is certainly suitable for a coffee table, if you don't mind the inevitable drips and spills.

I liked it as well, and bought it used with no sheath off ebay. It is the Entrek Destroyer.

ETA- My understanding is that due to health issues, the owner (Ray Ennis) is no longer making knives.

The upper was dipped, but later stripped off. I wasn't worried about it looking pretty, so it looks nice and ugly. The rail came back from overseas, and the lower was sprayed sprayed down a bunch of times with various cleaners. So to give your question an answer, I would say its a combination of both.

I have a pistol that is "nice and ugly" . Refinished in cerocote years ago that has worn to the point of allowing rust if not addressed often, then I painted it but that is wearing off at an alarming rate... I like it.

ASDW:TNG is still awaiting its barrel (trapped in my post office's back sorting room) and some work by my pro smith after it arrives... not gonna happen before Christmas, need to see if the shop's gonna be open the week between Christmas and New Year's. (Mission concept: 1. evaluate technical improvements and tinkerings to the GAU-5 concept, 2. enlighten my gal as to WHY a "purse-carry AR" is not a viable defensive option even if you have a fire-team partner with a pistol covering you, 3. discreet defense option for ground travel.) Pic will be up as soon as barrel's on, alignment tabs Bobbitted etc.

Yes it is, and this one is totally unfired so far. I'm debating writing an article about it, but at the same time I'm feeling pretty lazy, so who knows if I'll actually do it. I have a few other new ARs as well, so its a world of maybes right now. You can see from the way its set up, I was going to make it a bullet hose with a RDO, but maybe it deserves glass and a few different rounds through it to check accuracy and so on.

In Chris Bartocci (Small Arms Solutions) video on Enhanced Bolt Carrier Groups, he indicated that the Early AR10's had the same vent forward and that he liked the Lantac Enhanced BCG a lot. Its an interesting design. Have a great 23 Stickman!

Thanks stick, it's been a long time coming.
Picking just the right parts for the end goal of suppressed.

While I don't care for the cheap optic it's held up. NGL that suckers hit the floor hard more than 15 times from 6' and still holds.

I had to think what you were talking about for a minute! I think its going to be a regular stocking item from BCM if I understood correctly. Personally, I like the idea of certain uppers being available in finishes other than regular black.

Yes sir. My factory SBR is a 2016 LE6933 with a LE6945 Monolithic upper I got from Ken Elmore of Specialized Armament at his shop a year later. As for the MFT Minimalist, I like it and have another one for my AERO Precision AR. I have BCM, SOPMOD, and of course Magpuls... I like to change up my Gun LEGOs.

Sounds like you went a step further than I ever did with any of mine. Only advice I could give, would be to lube the threads of the collar with AeroShell. I’ve always had a heck of a time disassembling mine afterward.

Built as an early Army A4 clone based primarily off of the pic below...

The differences (aside from the lack of wear) are:
Use of former Army issued LBT-2500A sling (instead of the pictured earlier LBT-2500 version of the same sling) & early E.I. model SP-BK stock mag pouch,
Use of additional rail cover panels,
Use of retrofitted Aimpoint Pro (w/early Comp M components & lens cover) in place of an Aimpoint Comp M2 w/flip cover,
Use of UID sticker (simply because it's part of my actual ICS),
Use of 80% lower receiver (which eventually... I'll engrave with all the proper markings),
Lack of IR filter cap (one in original army pic is broken),
Location of vertical grip, light, and laser (slightly more forward for better positioning & use with rail covers)

Outwardly (aside from the UID sticker), I think it passes the 10 ft test for an early Army A4 clone. (& yes, it's an actual PEQ-2A I'm using)...

This was my first 308 AR in its original configuration. Mega Arms MATEN monolithic receiver set, DPMS SASS 18" Bull Barrel, JP LMOS BCG, JP SCS buffer setup, Magpul UBR, Wilson Combat TTU 2stage trigger, Leupold VXR 3-9x40 scope. With a crappy adjustable gas block it shot very smooth for about 150rds until the gas block failed.

have it punching pretty much the same hole at 100 yds , havnt taken it out further yet , havnt set my200, 300 , 400 yard range up for the summer yet

thank you , ive been running Black Hills 62 Gr .223 ,i have 2 more oxes of that left to stretch the range out , then i will test a few others once im dry on black hills , i started off with test firing , gas adjust and initial zero with PMC i forget what flavor it was , i bought that in bulk , very smooth running rifle though , im very pleased with it

i had issues getting this one to cycle but you guys helped me figured it out , gas block was slightly forward cutting off some of the gas port causing Failure to Feed issues , shes running very smooth and is a accurate shooter , still have some cosmetic touches to do with this one , paint the skull bone and the eyes with a slight red tint over black , crevise's between the teeth wiill be black with hints of green and red , bad case of gingivitis , really love this one too

A little tinkering on the M4. Yes, the PEQ is an airsoft simulator--but it only goes on at the range, as soon as it gets home and is being reset for Serious Work the box comes off as "unneeded weight and FOV obstruction."

Test-fitting a revised coupling system for the ASDW-PIP. Thinking dump the rail-to-rail coupler and just have my pro smith braze two QD optic-risers together end-to-end for a smaller overall footprint. Blue tape is marking where I need to have my pro smith trim down the rail's mounting tabs.

Actually, its an 18" barrel instead of the M16 family of 20". If you look close, you can also see the front sight is a folder via ARMS 41B

Took my Geissele 14.5 and DD 14.5 both on ADM lowers out to run with a recent Eagle H Harness I put together. I cannot wait for my kids to be old enough to do this with me.

I've always like the look of a carry handle upper. What is the barrel length there? Is that a 1.5x ACOG?

Does not have the bronze/gold tinge of Noveske tungsten. I think it was a custom blend. This H-147 Satin Mag + H-237 Tungsten looks a lot like mine.

Good looking rifle, it's funny how much this reminds me of rifles on this forum from 10-13 years ago when I started lurking here with the quadrails and fixed stock and simple red dot, very cool to see someone rock this kind of setup again

You can see in the pic above these that I have a thing for A2 stocks, and only two aren't rocking an RDS.

Nothing wrong with that, I prefer A1 stocks, but their prices seem to have gone crazy lately. Due to that, I rock a few A2 stocks myself.

Good looking rifle, just shoot the snot out of it and let us know what you think. A middy BCM is still probably better than 80% of the market for reliability and QC.

I'm going to test it out with irons before I sink more money into optics but my first option that I want is a T2 with either a Larue or Scalarworks mount.

but I may wait a bit since then, because (and I will deny this to my grave if my wife comes across this thread) I MAY have picked up a Sionics Patrol III XL and a Sionics Patrol III lightweight rifle (with their NP3 BCG) on their 4th of july "oops we screwed up" 20% off sale last month and I'm not sure which one I want to put my lone T2 one (until funds recover)
