I can't do LWRC, but PWS has given me solid results in the past, and I'm interested in seeing how this one does. If MarkM had a FFL I would send him this one to play around with to get his thoughts, and those of Pappabear to see how this sample of one does.

Got a smoking deal on a mk116 mod 2 a few years back. Only had a single failure to extract when it was new. Cleaned the chamber and upgraded the extractor spring to be sure, and it's been flawless since. It doesn't seem to particularly like long monolithic copper bullets however.

My new DDM4V7 arrived yesterday I put 160 rounds down range at LGSR. I used all Mags in box.

Now it has a total of 1140 rounds down range.

Thanks I have 2 more mags coming. When they arrive I will finish the last 160 of 556 I have. I’m thinking of changing the trigger.

Took one of my safe queen's out over the weekend as my 16" guns don't get a lot of love nowadays. 16" ELW BCM BHF upper on an Aero lower, 1-6x PA SLX (gen 3) I think. I need to put a radian ambi safety on it and it needs a better trigger, but the thing still shoots really well for a rifle I think cost me maybe $850 to put together in 2017ish after Veterans day and Black Friday sales.

That is a great looking rifle for the money. Even a cheaper trigger (ALG or BCM style enhanced Mil Spec) can make a big difference.

I'll probably go with a LaRue or Centurion 2 stage, and I think that new PA 1-8x Compact would really go a long way but I'm trying to upgrade my Night Vision currently and my money's tied up in that for now

The rifle was built to be a near perfect clone of the Colt RO727 carbines that some of the Rangers were using at the time. The tape is, as best I can tell, ment to ensure the optic/mount stay on the weapon in the event the mount screw or ring screws back out.

I finally got in, after 3 months of waiting, my Sionics Lightweight patrol III rifle.

Complete rifle from Sionics, with all their normal goodies (K2 grip, MOE SL stock) using their lightweight pencil profile barrel, 13 inch rail, Mbus Pro sights and the upgraded NP3 bolt carrier group

(I also have a twin to it as well in the heavier profile with the 15 inch rail, but that rifle was delayed a bit and only shipped out today from them).

Finally got my form 1 back from the Biden ATF slow-walk, and finished this 7.5” .300blk build. I have a K can for it in jail, it is crazy quiet with this Sandman-L on it though front heavy as you’d imagine

I asked Vltor to make a run of them in 5.56 instead of just the AK. They did, but they never sold well. Its like a KX5 with FS/ prongs.

I too would like to know the make/model of the rear BUIS.

Grip is a VZGrips, likely Recon texture, but might be Hydra or an older texture.

VZGrips are very nice, but pretty pricey.
I've their AR grips in Recon and Alien, also have their MLok handguard panels.
Some of their textures are extremely aggressive to the point of painful if you dont have calloused hands, others are just very grippy and comfortable.
Recon is very aggressive, Alien not so much, read the reviews.

Thanks, if the UH1 isn’t taking chunks out of the Eotech market, it should be. It’s a clearer, cleaner reticle to my eye.

I'm not sure if I totally agree with that, I will say that I have had a 512 and a XPS-2 break on me where the Vortex hasn't but the battery life of my Vortex seems very short compared to that of the Eotech's. Ultimately, the UH1 and the 3 magnifier's price and features and reliability (first and foremost) win the day for me.

How is the quality of that H&R Alpha? Are you 100 percent satisfied? I've been looking at that same rifle, but am a bit ascared of it being a PSA.

100%? No. More like 80% satisfied, with the potential for getting that number up to 95% down the line. I had more than a few malfunctions right out of the box. The ones that couldn't be linked to using older mags mostly went away pretty quickly, but the chamber still seems to be very tight and more than a bit coarse. Spent brass looks like I've rubbed it with sandpaper. If that smooths out as it breaks in, it'll be fine. The fit and finish of the gun is excellent, it feels good in the hand, and the accuracy, from what I tested, is pretty good.

Thanks, appreciate the transparency. Probably be only a wall hanger for me, so I may consider it since I have other good options for any clearing of Hue that may be necessary.

Ironically, if WA weren't run by flaming fascist gungrabbers that would make it an even better Teaching Gun for my reference collection, giving the student the frustration of the original.

Let's face it, if M4C had to go back to Hue as a unit, I bet most of us would rather have a radio with a six-pack of Stratopigs ready to rain Arc Light ruin on the other end. Probably thermal scopes on a few rifles too.

ETS Group came out with a new polymer mag, as well as redoing their pistol mag lineup. These certainly seem less "sticky".

I think it was a company sample that Cross Machine Tool for someone, but it was a first run that was missing part of the emblem or something. Its certainly nothing that would hurt my feelings, especially when I'm a gun-ho who doesn't mind slapping stickers on things!
