Highlight and copy the text below...

Once you have it right clicked and copied go above to the buttons and find the only one that has color in it or the one with the mountain and sunrise peaking over it and click it and then paste the copied portion in the blank....then just hit submit and submit the reply....should look like this:

Do you have a carry handle you dont need? I made my rear sight from one. Sounds kind of cheap but I read up on it a lot and it has worked out great. Besides, it was already the perfect height from the rails and sighted in!!!! Just a word of thought.

Question... am I going to need to swap out the fixed front sight with a flip up sight when I add EOTech HWS? The fixed sight looks awfully high...

No...
Question... am I going to need to swap out the fixed front sight with a flip up sight when I add EOTech HWS? The fixed sight looks awfully high...
If you mount the sight directly to the rail, you will get an absolute co-witness, depending on the EOTech model. Put the EOTech on a riser, such as the one from Larue, and it will be lower 1/3 co-witness which is my preference. Also, EOTech models with a built in elevation such as the 516/556/517/557 will be lower 1/3 without a mount.
In any case, you'll find that having an absolute co-witness or lower 1/3 isn't a big deal. Spend some time shooting the gun before you even think about fooling around with your fixed FSB.
No...
Thanks. I spent the last 20 mins looking at pics and many have the fixed front along with the EOTech.

well bought a armalite m14a4 the other week and it finally showed up in the mail, now i can finally ditch my norinco... haven't had a chance to do many mods to it yet, just threw on a dlask break and a hogue grip, definitely replacing the weird armalite stock with a MOE, and im thinking a Hilux CMR 14x24 for an optic.

Uwe1,
That is a great looking rifle. Is that a 13in rail on a 16in barrel?
How do you like the troy rails? I've been debating either the Troy TRX or Troy VTAC myself.

Yes, that is a Troy 13" on a DDM4 16" barrel. I had a gunsmith install it with a lo-pro gas block, but after seeing the pinning scars, I shaved the FSB and re-pinned it.
I am not as experienced as many members here, but I prefer the Troy rails. It allows me to hold the gun more securely as I have small-medium sized hands. The DDM4 rail wasn't as forgiving on hand placement especially if I accidentally wrapped my thumb on top of the FSB. After running around the house with my guns and taking a carbine course with another gun, a 16" MP15 with a 11" Troy TRX Extreme without a VFG, I decided that I didn't need one.
Therefore, I didn't need a railed handguard except for the top rail in order to mount the BUIS and a light. I'm a bit anal and insist on having a FF rail setup even though it will probably never be an issue which is why I chose the Troy. It is a bit lighter than the VTAC Extreme and there is a Noveske TRX sling mount on the other side of the gun. Keeping the weight down was an important factor.

Been looking for a low profile BUIS myself. I have an eotech magnifier and with it mounted there isnt much rail space left. need something low pro that takes up the least amount of rail space possible.

What kind of Hand gun holder is that?
They are from Berry"s Mfg. They are little posts that fit inside the barrel. They come in 3 sizes. .22 cal, 9MM/40 and 44/45. I think they were like $4.00 each. I bought a crap load of them many years ago and still have some extras. I knew I was going to need a lot of them.:D

KC.....IM sent. :)
I wanted a lefty 3 gun / critter rig. After a ton of research here and on Brian Enos forums, I decided on a 18" barrel with a long free float.
Build specs:
18" SPR barrel with rifle length gas system from White Oak Arms (http://www.whiteoakarmament.com/barrels.htm)
15" freefloat rail system from Loki Weapon Systems (http://www.lokiweaponsystems.com/products/m4-ras-15in/)
Stag lefty upper/ bolt
PWS SM556
Here are my initial impressions. I hope to have a range report this weekend.
It's VERY lightweight. I wanted a balanced gun with the 18" SPR (http://www.whiteoakarmament.com/barrels.htm) barrel profile, and I got it. :grinpimp:
I need to access a scale and weigh it, but initial impression is it's within oz, if not lighter than my M4gery upper with EOTech.
The grip on the forearm is great without being overly abrasive.
There are 8 positions for rails. The 11 and 1 o'clock rails are positioned perfectly for another sighting system If desired. I'm probably just going add enough rail at the end to mount a BUIS.
The 15" length seems perfect for me. I can get an aggressive, but comfortable reach on it no prob.
It's rock solid.
The guys at LWS where nice to deal with and shipped very quickly.
The builds not done yet. It got a Gieselle SD-3G trigger. I'm running a DMS-1 for now, hopefully soon to be a Burris Tac30 1-4. I still need a Badger Lefty tac latch, Troy ambi mag release and Vltor A5 stock to finish it off.
Sorry for the poor picture quality.

Here's how she turned out with the TR24R. Still needs a good BCG and BUIS and she'll be complete.

BCM Recon upper w/ SS410 18" barrel
TR24R Red triangle
Larue LT109

Harris Bipod, for now a Yankee hill low pro mount. Getting a Larue mount/bipod combo soon.

haha thanks guy ;), yes there is a hump because Daniel Defense cuts the back strap of the lower higher for a better higher positive grip and to get rid of the forge mark on that area. I rounded off the shelf so my hand did not snag on the back but yes there is a lovely lady hump back there :D. Why add more rails where they won't be used? just adds weight, you just want mine to be heavier than your light weight DD barrel build with the 14inch light rail :sarcastic:

I freaking love it. Before I had a TA33G-H (3x w/ green horseshoe) and I really liked it except for up close targets. I could definitely see a reduction in my transition speed from target to target. This is the TA44SR-10 (1.5x w/ red circle dot) and it is super quick and easy with a great FOV (mostly because I keep both eyes open) and generous eye relief. It's super lightweight, even lighter than the TA33. The red is bright and crisp and easy to pickup. Orange targets kind screw with my vision and the red so if there's orange poppers I'll cover the fiber optic, boom problem solved. Thinking about shooting it this weekend in a rifle match except I don't have rail covers or a BattleComp yet. I dunno I still might give it a go.

Not typically, no.
Welcome to the board. :)
I know a lot of people have already seen this one, but I figured I would post it here as well.

Thanks, Stick!
After going to the B.E.Meyers website, it turns out that my flash hider is primarily supposed to be used on an M249 SAW. :D

I've went through many pages on the M4 Picture Thread, and don't see hardly any Rugers.... I just picked one up, and will be transforming her to suit my needs in the next few weeks.... I'll be posting a newer pic tonight of where I lacquered in the Ruger logo in red:

Dunno why, just choked on some soda, made me laugh for some reason(the glock ribs part). Sick setup ;)
One of my friends (and a local Sheriffs Deputy) wanted a new M4 built up for a patrol rifle.
This is what we ordered:
BCM standard Midlength upper (lightweight was out of stock till early spring)
Complete Magpul MOE furniture in FDE with matching mags
Palmetto State Armory Lower build Kit with H-Buffer
Noveske endplate with QD socket
Built it on a Mega lower I bought back in the Obama craze
Total came out to right around $1000 even and the rifle weighs exactly 6.5lb without optic or rear BUIS.
Ordered everything from BCM, Palmetto State Armory and Brownells; excellent service and fast shipping from all of them, highly recommended. The PSA lower build kit installed in the Mega lower without any problems and the BCM upper fit the Mega lower nice and tight, everything looks good to go.
I will try and post some iron sight groups tomorrow, I did throw a few rounds out of it tonight in the dark because I couldn't wait till morning and it shoots soft and flat...
Here are some poor quality pics (the old rear sight is just on there so I can test fire it tomorrow, I think he already has a Magpul rear BUIS and an Eotech to put on it).

What's the length of the handguard portion of this MRP?
How much does the rifle weigh with a full mag on?
Thank you!!!
I am no Godfather of Badness, but the MRP rifle length monolithic chassis measures 20.5" on the top rail. The rail would be equivalent to an almost 14"(13 3/4") rail, but since it is 100% one piece design it doesn't really have a stated rail length.

Thank you sir. I really like Duffy's and your rifle. I see the only difference is the barrel.
I really like it but I'm having second thoughts given that I am a tiny woman at 5'4" in height. I am thinking of getting one then get the barrel cut down to 14.5 and pin a battlecomp 1.5. Is Duffy's rifle a 14.5 barrel?

That's correct, you can always buy a LW profiled barrel of your choice and send it to DBMG for a conversion so that it fits w. the MRP chassis. Send me a PM if you wanna talk MRP shop or have any other questions...it's my favorite thing to talk about:)
Fantastic shot member....your awesome style and methods are instantly recognizable and totally proprietary to your pics.

A gun shop owner told me he could never sell this for more than $500.00 because it is a "home built" I don't care because I'm never going to sell it anyway.

Hopefully this summer I will start my own build.

The rifle length MRP is heavier than a 14.5" barreled rifle with a 12" handguard, mostly due to the heavier profiled Mike Rock barrel. Even without the PEQ-15 and SF M900 it can be a beast. In classes, after a few hours of loading and reloading (holding the rifle by its pistol grip) becomes difficult because the rifle is heavy and I can hardly keep the muzzle pointed down range.
Weight is something to consider. Also, if you don't have a laser or the need for all the rails, I suggest the CQB length handguard :)

BAM!!! Count on this being my new Desktop background. That is such a dynamic duo, better shutup:p
I must make a correction on something I said before...the rail equivalent on the MRP rifle length chassis is 13.5" almost on the tee, rather than 13 3/4" as noted earlier. LMT actually calls them the "Long one" and "Short one".
