Eternal,
Weird man.
Great pics though and thanks for the specs on the rifle. What buffer are you using with the A5?
And yeah you're blessed. Pretty and you can tell by the stance that it is not her first time shooting.

Yeah it was weird, i get that it's the internet and all, but I was kind of annoyed to see the photo i took on someone else's profile like they took it, the same day i posted it.
The A5 on the 12.5" is the standard weight, It seems perfect with the enhanced carrier.
She has gone through a couple classes and can humble a man or two at the range

I'm honestly not certain what you guys mean.
The fun level was far exceeding level 4.
Indirect gestures and remarks here is a no go.

Got it. Thanks. I kind of figured it out after I asked the question. A quick search on the term ARFCOM enlightened me.
So who on here is MattelRifle on Tumblr?
I went to create an account this morning and found my photos from this thread already posted.

That would definately make me feel a little uneasy. Probably why I don't post pics very much. Glad to see you are with someone whom is not a beginner.

I appreciate the fact that some our members' girlfriends/wives can actually go behind the gun.
As much as I love women, when I see these pics from BCMJunkie, Eternal24k, Cameron, etc., what I appreciate most is that these girls are taking the time to take part in what their boyfriends/husbands do, and then do it right.
...what I appreciate most is that these girls are taking the time to take part in what their boyfriends/husbands do, and then do it right...
Agreed 100%!
Although I don't think mine will let me take pics like BCM's gal lets him do, she has taken 3 RB1 courses with me and I couldn't ask for a better shooting partner!

Someone needs to tell my wife that she needs to start shooting again. I don't care if she's 7 weeks postpartum. No Excuses :p

Yes she's a beautiful girl! So...I hate to be a geardo, but the jacket looks great too! What is the brand/model?
What do you think of the stock?
Feels good and well made. Great cheek weld, just like the SOPMOD. Upgraded from a M4 stock so it's all good. Well worth the price.

Just finished this morn by putting the Bobro mount and SS 10x42 HD scope on it. Time to zero it and work up some loads using RL15 and 69gr SMK's. Barrel is one of Constructor's 20" SPR 1:8 Wylde. Trigger is a Geissele DMR in which I watched his video on YouTube for guidance on installation.

Yup, not the same board it was a few years ago, and certainly not what it was promised to be before it went public. I get the influx of new people changes things, but the stupid people need to be pruned, and so do their comments. This is still a good board, yet so was another one which left things unchecked.
Back to the pictures.

Also, if it's that bad, than have the mods lay the smack down like they used to (even though I'm sure I qualify for a few wallops here and there)! :big_boss:

No leg humping here, that would be disrespectful. But much respect to you both. You have what is called a unicorn relationship, it is so rare people don't believe they exist. She is a credit to her gender, and as appears would put many male shooters to shame. Please pass on the admiration of her form, she's got it down to a science. Congrats sir!

A nearly complete rifle assembled during the height of the panic. It's just waiting for IWC to finally ship the MOE handguard with QD connect that was ordered 12 days ago.
Other than the three take-off Colt parts, everything was purchased after Connecticut. Cost to me was about $1,200
BCM Mid length 16” upper
BCM BCG
BCM mil-spec buffer tube, H buffer, buffer spring
Magpul ACS-L stock
Aero Precision stripped lower
Magpul MOE handguard w/QD slot*
Noveske QD endplate
Rainier castle nut
Vickers Combat Applications Sling (VCAS), padded, Al hardware
PSA LPK (did not use the grip or FCG)
MOE+ grip
Colt FCG/Charging handle/carry handle rear sight all taken from my 6920

Figured I'd share some pics of a few of my favorite toys.
http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/g370/IndustrialRescue/gun%20stuff/SAM_0657_zpsb47fb8f9.jpg
Left to right:
Wifeys 5.56 AR, RDIAS host prior to me buying it. Pinned 10.5 inch barrel, Burris 4x scope.
Dedicated 22lr. PSA Lower, Jard 1.5 pound trigger, CMMG dedicated 22lr upper, freebie Bushnell 3-9x scope, And... A Slidefire stock. Runs 100%. (5.56 and burnt out barrels got too expensive)
Frankenrifle 5.56 (see below for build parts) Set up for night shooting with CT IR laser, Aimpoint PRO, and Gen 3 ENVIS. Also wearing my only sling I currently have.
DPMS 16in AP4 LR308 With Troy TRX 13.8 inch FF tube, Vortex Viper HS 2.5-10x Scope w. Burris PEPR mount. 3lb Jard trigger. My only Grip Pod is sitting on it currently. Need to get another.
(Bottom) Spike's Tactical lower. Colorfilled the "penises" in their logo, and to further ensure butthurt, used all PSA parts to build it, due to their hatred of Palmetto State Armory. I'm still waiting on my LaRue Tactical Stealth upper.
And lastly, The Noreen ULR 50BMG Fun gun to shoot. VERY accurate, too. Moreso than I am.

http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/g370/IndustrialRescue/gun%20stuff/SAM_0662_zpsff61aa07.jpg
"Custom" Read homemade NV mount. ADM PVS14 QD mount, a piece of riser, and an Anglebrace from Lowes, attached to an old ACH. Works great. The ENVIS doesn't line up the same as a PVS14 with the Rhino Mount, so I had to improvise.
http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/g370/IndustrialRescue/gun%20stuff/SAM_0664_zps47184df1.jpg
And yes... My gun room IS pink. It was a little girl's room prior to me buying the house, and I hate painting. So I live with having a pink gun room.
http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/g370/IndustrialRescue/gun%20stuff/SAM_0665_zpsbecc73bf.jpg
And the 50 again.
http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/g370/IndustrialRescue/gun%20stuff/SAM_0557_zpscf02789a.jpg
Frankenrifle build: PSA lower and build kit. Spike's Tactical Battle Trigger, RRA ergo grip, Magpul ASAP.
DelTon upper, BCG, charging handle. Daniel Defense CHF, CL M4 barrel, Troy lowpro gasblock, Smith Vortex Flash hider (works great) Midwest Industries 15in Gen 2 SS Free Float Tube, ARMS backup sights (hated the Magpul sights, and won the ARMS sights and sling) Aimpoint PRO, Crimson Trace IR Laser (so that I don't have to gunmount the NV if I don't want to)

Well, you see, um, basically I had to include a set (front and rear) of KAC's to make a deal go through. I had the MK18 sights already and got another set from "B" so I have KAC fronts (taupe on the MK18, black on the 16") and Matech rears...meh, they work. I'd like to have KAC rears again, but not enough to drop the $300.

Thanks. It's definitely going to get a T1 at some point, and a BFG sling. Not sure if I want to add a light or not though. I've got a WML laying around, but my Noveske has an X300 on it so I'm not too concerned about not having a light on this one.

I'm not generally a fan of 5.11, but I really like their bags. Its the double rifle case (http://www.511tactical.com/All-Products/Bags-Backpacks/Gun-Cases/42-Double-Rifle-Case.html). I have the 36" version but its been discontinued.

THIS will have an ^MKM^ upper in a few weeks I hope.
Stick would you say the MKM is roughly the same girth as the 308 TROY tube? Smoother and octagonal, obviously, but about the same hand grip? Looks to be just a tiny bit fatter than the TROY. Wish MEGA would have gone the 3 KeyMod NSR style vs. the 7 row KeyMod they did. Would have been thinner and even lighter. Oh well.

Please don't take this as criticism but as a constructive suggestion.
That flashider may look cool and all but if you decide to do any real training with that rifle you are going to find it tearing the hell out of pants and skin during transitions or other movements, should you inadvertently make contact with the muzzle. You'd be better served with something else.

Its not nearly as nice or expensive as a lot of the rifles here, but its mine and I love it. Core 15 with magpul grip, magpul fore grip, A.R.M. flip up rear sight, cheap tru glo red dot, and a pelican m6 light. I'm just gettn started with it. Next thing to go is the factory rattle box stock. Just gotta decide which one to go with.

Went with a completed BCM 16" middy mounted to a Spikes lower. Lower came stripped, I got it all together surprisingly easy. Disregard the crappy optic, I'll be throwing an Aimpoint on when I recover from the initial expense of the build. I Threw my scout rifle in the second picture for kicks. I'm Taking the AR out tomorrow to shoot for the first time. :D

Great looking rifle. But I have to ask, how does a light survive the muzzle blast when positioned like that?

Quality lights (surefire) have no issues with muzzle blast.
Bought this light used from a guy that used to shoot a lot. I've put over 600 on it myself.

Now it has a 51t muzzle break on it, probably more blast now. Still no issues.

Although the blast isn't directed at the light with the brake, unlike with the bc, so it should be a little better off.

Hold your hand above the brake and tell me how that feels. ;)
My point being, direct blast or not, its going to take a beating by the muzzle, however a quality light will withstand it.

BCM 14.5 lightweight carbine barrel with a pinned Battlecomp.
Why 14.5? I have 16's and this configuration will not change for me, I have experimented and like this setup, it also works for my 5'0'' wife as a back-up to her rifle. I went with a Vltor CASV-M the winter before last as they were having one hell of a year-end sale, the same time I got a R-1 from Midway that now rides on my Benelli. Vltor upper with a Aimpoint PRO riding in a LaRue low mount to compensate for the added CASV-M rail height, giving me lower 1/3 co-witness. I went with carbine gas over mid-length because I have never had a problem with carbine gas systems digesting any ammo type. The BUIS are folding Troy rear and folding Vltor up front. It runs great and I like the slick front handguard. In fact, I am toying with removing the MVG and replacing it with a simple Gear Sector hand stop.

Colt 6920 lower w/ Geissele SSA trigger, Noveske 14.5 Lo-Pro upper with Aimpoint CompM2, Bobro shorty VFG, and SureFire M961 w/ Veleno Designs XP-G LED tower upgrade and SR-05 switch. I like it better than my other AR, as it balances better and is lighter even with the 9-volt SureFire and CompM2. Mr. Pink,
On behalf of my friend and trusted associate, Mr. Brown, I would like to say he is very jealous of Mr. Pinks handguard and Mr. Brown would like to request an immediate duplicate of said Geiselle handguard for his little brother, Mr KISS. We feel MR. KISS should have the same Geissele rail for his rifle setup (given by someone else) because of the current presidential administration's share the wealth clause. Mr. Brown's smaller brother has a lowly MOE mid-length HG and we feel he deserves something better.
According to Mr. Brown's lawyer, failure to comply by Mr.Pink may result in a lawsuit. Thank you for your time. ;)

I'm the same way, just crossing my fingers for a cloudy day!
Yeah if I don't have a really sunny morning, with large clouds obscuring the sunlight in order to act as my filter....I might as well not even try.
Guys like Memberonly, and Stickman (and many others on here)....create their own perfect conditions on command. I'd love to get some lights, a filter or two....and then take a semester or so in a photography class.
Shooting rifles is obviously what it's all about...however with the times we live in, and the amazing scarcity of .223/5.56 around....I'm sure glad that I enjoy taking crappy pics as much as I do, or otherwise my rifles would be relegated to paper weight status until the skies clear up.
InfantrySSgt...why you gotta break balls :D In all seriousness, that upper was just built within the last weeks....and still has that new car glow.

I"m really digging that Ti barrel nut. One thing I have to say negative about my MK1 rail is the lack of a QD point. Since I changed the type of sling that I use, a QD point is a must.
