After getting some range time with it I'll put a new trigger in it. I've a feeling I'll want a good single stage with a light break.

My new PWS mk114. The pictures don't do it justice how clean this rifle looks.
It's also so light you would never believe its a piston.

PWS are very underrated, IMO if they could add some ambi features they would wipe LWRC from the map.

Yeah that's a good possibility. Alot of people still don't understand that PWS rifles are not just another "piston AR". It's
a different beast.

What brand of matches did you use to get the smoke? Also, do your glasses not come with a killflash? It seems to work really well on that Aimpoint.

Here are a couple of my toys.
First AR built from scratch and a good learning experience:
RRA lower
BCM upper
BCM BCG
Armalite barrel (junk. Live and learn)
Redfield 3-9x (hard to beat for $200)
https://www.m4carbine.net/images/attach/jpg.gif
Bought a BCM middy barely used. Ran it for awhile until the KMRs came out, then the upper got switched to a GWACs poly lower I picked up during the gun scare. It just recently got a coat of paint. Not sure how I like it yet, it might be a bit dark once summer rolls around. It has a 9" DD Lite on it and a cut down eotech riser to a fixed rear sight.
https://www.m4carbine.net/images/attach/jpg.gif
Just got this one set up this week for a new duty rifle on patrol, have yet to shoot it.
BCM Upper with KMR 13
16" BHF LW
B5 Bravo
BCM Mod4 charging handle
SSA trigger
Aimpoint PRO
Troy rear sight and YHM front sight
TLR-1s
BCM Mod 0 Comp
https://www.m4carbine.net/images/attach/jpg.gif
Still undecided on what to do for a front sight on the KMR middy. Keep going back and forth between keeping the YHM or going with a DD fixed. I typically run with the sight up and an absolute cowitness. But sometimes it's nice to have the ability to go clean up front to have a better view. I guess I'll run it like this for a bit and see how it goes.
Put together the middle BCM upper for my dad. The 6920 just got its DD RIS II installed and the 6940 got a light finally. Little bit of a family photo.http://i845.photobucket.com/albums/ab12/nbeng92/photo5_zps1c8d19fd.jpg (http://s845.photobucket.com/user/nbeng92/media/photo5_zps1c8d19fd.jpg.html)http://i845.photobucket.com/albums/ab12/nbeng92/photo3_zps01c16834.jpg (http://s845.photobucket.com/user/nbeng92/media/photo3_zps01c16834.jpg.html)

If you look at post number 22069 on this thread you'll see I've got a BCM middy myself with the KMR 13" rail. I used the fixed DD irons and cowitness them with the eotech 512. Troy makes great products as does DD but I'd recommend the DD fixed front sight just from my experience.
Actually, now tht I look at your specs, our rifles' setups are pretty similar aside from the stock and I went with the 14.5" standard barrel. Lol

Nice looking rifle. I was told from my local GS that they can't get anything from Noveske. They were telling me that after his death, they are having a hard time pulling themselves together.

He was a great man and a fine builder in the industry and he'll be missed for sure.
Hadn't heard that the company was reeling like that since his death though. I'd gotten the impression that it almost made his products like collector items status and that's why they were hard to find. I know a Noveske rifle is on my wish list. Lol

No, it was originally a MOE version of the 6920. Didn't know cabelas sells colts in this configuration?
Last year my local Cabela's (Post falls Idaho) had a rack of Colt 6920's with those DD rails on them for 1700 that's why I asked.

Those are the SOCOM rifles that came with the DD RIS II FSP rail. His rail is a Midwest Industries rail.
I have the FDE version of the MI rail, nice product at a great price.

I don't know what could possibly make someone come to this board and quote idiocy they heard from someone at a gun store.
DH- To say they are having a hard time pulling themselves together is complete crap, last year was a record year for them. I've pointed out already there are a few people who used to work there who had been trash talking the company, all you are doing is contributing to it.
I'm still trying to get my hands on a Gen2 Noveske non-chainsaw lower & MUR upper. I couldn't find them before & I still can't find them. Maybe someday...

My guess would be that you won't find one that is a non-chainsaw. They have already released the Gen 3 receivers, which I would guess means that all or most of the Gen 2 stuff is used up.

Stick- calm down man. I'm sorry. I'm just saying what I've heard. I'm not saying its "gospel" or anything. I was talking with one of the guys and LANworld and he said he knows an employee there that was a good friend of his and this is what he told him. My bad. If he didn't throw the "friend card" down then yea I would have walked away and said, "whatever".
I'm REALLY glad it's not like that!

I think you misunderstood. I'm not upset. I simply cleared out a BS rumor you were sold. If I had been bothered, I would have called you out, and it would have been very clear. The way it was posted, you already had the next guy believing you and commenting on it. All because a clown passed along bad intel to you. I'm glad it's not like that also, and I hope the Gen 3 stuff goes into full scale production real soon so I can pick up a couple more. :-D

You would be correct and thanks for the advice/tips. Polished contact areas on the LMT E carrier, using the standard VLTOR A5H2 buffer weighing 5.3oz, McFarland One Piece Gas Ring, NiB-X Bolt Cam Pin, no gas leaks anywhere and lubed with Rand CLP . Not many rds yet (approx 200 PMC 223 Rem 55 gr FMJ Bronze ) on this new upper, but so far it is has been very smooth shooting with no problems. I am looking forward to seeing how it runs at a higher round count when it is real dirty and it is colder outside.

Love this pic. It drives me nuts that these $2500+ rifles come with a plastic ejection door cover.
My wife showed an interest in doing some long range plinking (she hit a 6-inch steel plate on her first try at 300 yards with her 16" carbine and was instantly hooked). Used one of my leftover Colt LE M4 lowers for a build up. Called on Franklin Armory for their V1 24" bull barrel upper. Did some trading for some other parts and this is what I finished last night. Now, I just need to make some time to go to the range.

I would argue that a part, that ensures a clean BCG, which is a very critical part, makes it a critical part. Yes? No?

When has there been a documented failure of the plastic port door?
And, the gun will run without one.

Thank you sir, I took it last summer. I actually like it. It doesn't scar the lower like the metal ones if you charge it and shoot. Plus there isn't enough heat transferred to the bolt to melt it if closed after firing. It was a downfall for me until I got to fire a newer 416 upper with a plastic cover, on a full auto lower. The bolt was quite a bit cooler than my S&W upper on the same gun.

I would have to say not as critical as most think. I have seen a S&W Sport run with sand and grit in the Nevada dessert, and it wasn't cleaned for 3 days(carbine course). It had over 1000 rounds and very little lubrication added. I was a believer in the Sport after that.
If I were taking one to war then a dust cover is essential, but for most shooting, it isn't a necessity.
Completly agree that it is non-essential. Just one of those things that bugs me. Didn't stop me from buying one.

Oh please don't get me wrong, I love dust covers on my rifles. The only advantages it has shown me was in Iraq and other fine sand environments. I agree while heartedly that it is better to have one and not need it than need it and not have one. I was just amazed by the S&W Sport. It changed my opinion about the dust cover being nessasary. It was even reviewed by one of the Tactical Life or Special Weapons magazines and they ran it for 2 days straight with steel and brass ammo. They added no more lube then it started with and it was a sandy mess, but kept on functioning perfectly. I know the early M-16's had issues and the dust cover and forward assist was added, but it was in it's infancy and honestly rushed to get to our troops.

Not at all. Infact, it appears to have cured quite well. Certainly staying on much better on the grips than it is on the upper. Just give it a good cleaning. I scrubbed mine down with dishwashing liquid, twice.
IINM, only Krylon leaves that tacky feel on plastic... Aervoe and Rustoleum don't.

This is my Colt build. Ordered as a 6920MP, modified as funds allow. As it sits it's kind of heavy, which I don't like. I'll probably be switching to a mono rail or building a carbon fiber rail.

That is a photo of our 308 receivers. We did not feel the magwell grip grooves were very applicable to the 308 platform. Sorry you feel the grip grooves are dumb. They are none the less very functional.

We're thinking it's an electrical problem of some sort, working battery out of another t1 doesnt work in mine. You can dial it up to 12 and you barely see a dot.

Make sure there's no battery corrosion. Sometimes the slightest little spec can cause connection issues. I recently had something similar (Not a T1) and there was this tiny spec that I kept overlooking while trouble shooting. I finally flicked it off, put a battery in & it fired right up & has worked flawlessly ever since. Might not be your issue but after overlooking something several times I was sure wasn't the issue I thought I'd post up the experience.

I am liking it a lot so far. It can easily fit one rifle and a handgun. I think it would work better with SBR's as you would get a bit more rim. I like the idea of transporting my rifle to and from my apartment and while traveling.

Edit: I understand your question now, I think.
They're all Surefire Scouts (The two shorter ones are M300s and the longest is M600).
I prefer the mounting position of the IWC on the FDE MOE handguard first. Then the Gear sector mount on the suppressed SBR. Then the drop wing on the 12.5" SS. The drop wing would be pretty good but I purposely stashed it a touch out of the way (but still very accessible).

That's pretty cool. Never seen on of those!
Santa Cruz electric locking bracket & butt stock bracket.
What does the electric do for it? And if the battery dies will it still work manually?
