View Full Version : Which Surefire Suppressor/Mount is compatible with a MK18 10.3" barrel and RIS II?

I'm thinking of building a MK18 Mod 1 clone with a 10.3" barrel and a DD RIS II. Is there a Surefire suppressor and mount that will work with this configuration, or is there not enough room?

If not, any suggestions on suppressors/mounts that WILL work?

If you go that extra 0.2" you open up alot more possibilities (AAC M4-2000 for one)

That being said the KAC QDS mount and suppressor will work.

Im building a 10.5" upper with the DD RISII and plan on using the 51T brake and M4-2000 combo. GotM4 has that set up and it looks like sex.

I'll be using a Colt barrel. 10.3" is all they have unless I go to 11.5".

Not sure about the surefires, but I have a Noveske N4 10.5, DD MK18 RISII, and AAC M4-2000.

Any of the mounts for the FA556-212 should work. The Mini and Micro also fit the same mounts.

There is a video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wviX3yemjMI) of Larry Vickers with a 10.3" barrel, MK18 RISII rail, and a Surefire FA556-212 suppressor mounted on a FH556-212A flash hider.

How bout the same question in relation to a KAC sr-16 11.5 with URX 2? I dont have exact measurements, but its gotta be pretty damn close to the same amount of barrel forward of the rail. Atleast it looks about the same eyeballing it.

Thanks for the info. That's the exact setup I was hoping was possible. I've already got a FH556-212A on an existing carbine.
