View Full Version : Can't decide BCM M4 Mod 2 or DD M4 V.2??

I'm on the fence here, been researching a second rifle and cannot for the life of me decide between the BCM M4 Mod 2 and the Daniel Defense M4 V.2. In comparing specs, I feel that the DD offers more. Both have a carbine gas system that isn't a concern to me.

I can get the DD $70.00 cheaper than the BCM as well. Thoughts? Anybody care to point out what I'm missing between the two? Which is the better buy? Warranty and CS reputations are about equal from what I can tell.

If you want the DD and it is cheaper go for it. Both companies make good guns and have great customer service.

Both are great but I would go Daniel Defense on that one. You get a DD rail, moe stock, and DD vertical grip. Just my .02 cents.

I like to try different quality vendors. What is your first rifle?

I own DDm4 V2 no complaints here. I love it but both are top notch. Just pick the one you like.

I would vote DD. Better barrel(both are fine though), better stock, a nice hard case, and a VFG. With the BCM you get a better BUIS. You really can't go wrong with either but I vote DD for value for the $.

Looks like the DD has a better rail rail too. The rail, stock and VFG would push me toward the DD.

Thanks for the reassurance. Just ordered the DDM4 V2. Great price, too. Should have it by Thursday.

I just picked up a DD this weekend (upper only) The only deciding factor was local availability.

In my (very limited) opinion both are equally great. The DD had the config I wanted and I could get it at a great price when I wanted it. I would not have cried at all if it had been a DD instead.

Get the one you want now and then get the other for a 3rd rifle. If you get a second you'll want a 3rd, and then a precision gun, middie, SBR, and on and on. It gets overwhelming. I've limited myself and would like to cut back even more, someday.

Which upper did you buy and how was pricing? Thanks.
