Did they stop shipping the plastic cover that goes into the rear of the CTR stock when you don't use the rubber buttpad? I got my CTR stock in 2010 (there's a 2010 catalog inside. so I assume it's a 2010 production) .
Maybe somebody has the plastic thing that covers the rear of the butt when the rubber pad is off?
