Does the US market have an equivalent of these Russian optics?

They're basically telescopes with no magnification. They're apparently designed as a reflex sight but have traditional reticles (some calibrated for ex:5.45x39mm) for distant shooting.

When you say equivalent, do you mean equivalent as in reticle style, calibration, power, or type (commercial or military grade)?

I mean as in.....

-no magnification for close quarters, fast target acquisition
-reticle designed for long range shooting

I've never seen an optic like this in the US.

I've never seen an optic like this in the US.

One of the newer eotech's has a two dot setup for holdover as I recall.
Seems like there is another, but nothing I've seen in a non-magnified optic as "in depth" as those are.

I've been eyeing this one, speaking of reds, and wondering if I can get any sorta co-witness with it somehow. http://www.kalinkaoptics.com/rifle-scopes/red-dot/pk-a-military-fast-acquisition-red-dot-rifle-scope-weaver-version.html

Unless you want a optic for limited class in three gun. I see no real practical use for a 1x optic with a long range reticle. If you need to shoot long you would benefit from some magnification.

Seen AVG do that with Kalinka, think it's a false positive. I've looked at that site from many computers and never found anything unpleasant after. Or, it's an evil Russian plot.

I've got a Burris ShortMag 1X. I don't think Burris makes them any more but you can still find them new for about $160. If I remember correctly, it has a 4" - 10" eye relief.

I used it to practice with it before I got my T-1. I liked using it and still use it off and on another rifle. I'd think it would be better than the Russian stuff.

I received a SWFA riflescope.com catolog a few months ago and it was listed in there, but on the website I could not find one.

I had similar thoughts and purchased a Leupold 2.5X20 mm scope. It does have magnification but is very minimal, more like two power. It is a very fast scope to use, fairly rugged, and uses no batterries.

I have written about my experience with the optic in other threads if you are interested in learning more about it.

I would check-out most of the standard optics manufactures such as Bushnell, Weaver, Nikon, Tasco, Sightron, etc. there may be a similar offering to the Burris if that is ultimately what you decide to acquire.

P.S. In my limited experience with Soviet/ Russian optics they are typically somewhat crude, but that does not necessarily mean they are ineffective by any means.

Very much so. Have shot several assorted com-scopes, some illuminated and some not. Impressed for the money. Have not used any of the red dot's though.

I wish that ar332 could magically appear inside an aimpoint at the touch of a button. Be handy to transition from up close to further out.
