Advanced Tactical Rifle (M4) and Handgun Training: This 3-day course is based on the officer’s primary and secondary weapons for tactical applications. This training is beyond basics and will provide specialized skills in advancing the student’s capability with each weapon. All shooting techniques are proven, effective and cutting edge. Each skill learned will be reinforced through a variety of shooting drills developed for effectively deploying a firearm during offensive and defensive operations at both CQB and intermediate ranges against multiple targets. Basic shooting techniques will be recapped and more advanced techniques will be introduced to the students as they progress through the course.

NOTE: This is an advance level class and students should feel comfortable and safe while handling their firearm. The class is very fast paced and students are highly encouraged to take notes and or bring a video camera to capture techniques that they deem important.

OBJECTIVES: (Not Inclusive)

Mental Conditioning - Within this block of training, students will learn how to identify, manage and maintain their emotions and thought processes, enabling them to remain in control. Additionally, students will learn proven techniques that will allow them to focus and operate under extreme stress.

Human Nature - Each student will be taught about human nature; how to control it and how to use it to gain the advantage over their opponent. During any survival situation, we are faced with two very deadly enemies; (1) Personal Comfort and (2) Passive Outlook or “I Don't Care” Attitude. Students will be taught how to recognize these dangerous emotions and control them during high-stress situations.

Firearms Training - This training will cover the importance of mental conditioning while shooting in both the Subconscious and Conscious State of Mind. It also teaches the importance of understanding the difference between these two and when to apply each in relation to combat shooting, target selection and advanced shooting fundamentals, through hands on training.

Additional areas that will be covered are: (Not Inclusive)
- Strong emphasis on advanced moving and shooting techniques from both support and strong side shooting positions.
- Proper rifle setup to meet the shooter’s primary objectives.
- Proper maintenance of your rifle as well as equipment selection, including: rifle selection, calibers, bullet selection, optics and important accessories.

- Students will also learn how to monitor their personal shooting techniques while on the range and how to identify problem areas.

Training Barriers –Students will learn how to recognize, correct and overcome their own training barriers, allowing them to reach their full potential. Multiple shooting drills will be covered, allowing each student to select the right drills that will increase his speed and accuracy.

Live-Fire Tactical Team Movement Drills – Students will be shown a variety of proven advanced movement drills that will allow them to immediately close and neutralize the threat. The drills learned will be conducted in a live-fire environment while on the range, and will be performed with multiple personnel and teams. Each of these drills is designed to reinforce the shooting techniques that the officers will learn while on the range.

We are a bit under a month out and have some slots available. A three day Advanced Pistol and Carbine course from an instructor like Cooley for less then $400 is a hell of a deal. Not one you will want to miss out on.
