VICKERS TACTICAL – CARBINE 1
Course Length: 2 Days

Dates: 28 & 29 August 2011

Host: Okanogan Co Sheriff’s Department

Location: OCSO department range – 200 B&O rd Okanogan WA 98840 – You will receive specific directions upon registration

Course description:
For shooters who have had at least a basic carbine class either from Vickers Tactical or any other accredited instructor.

Topics covered include the following:
- Carbine safety
-Stance
-Zeroing sights
-Sight alignment
-Trigger control
-Malfunction drills
-Reloads
-Shooting on the move
- Strong side & weak side shooting
-Different shooting positions
-Use of cover
-Transitions
-Timed fire drills and evaluations based on class skill level
-Low/no light shooting

There will be a strong emphasis on accurate shooting in this course. Do not expect to just throw rounds down range and call it training. Regardless of your situation, every round fired is a liability and under the stressfull situation requiring lethal force, you will not rise to the occasion, you will revert to the lowest common denominator of your training.

The shooter will leave this course with a firm grasp on their strengths and weaknesses as well as drills to help themselves improve.

It is in the town of Okanogan. This is a little less the 100 miles due North of Wenatchee.

For anyone coming into town (or if you are local and want to escape the family for a few days), I have secured reduced rates in area hotels for anyone attending.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask here, or email me at the address in the origional post.

I hope to see you on the range.

As an FYI, both this class and the 1911 Operator class are over 50% full at this point. We are a ways out on the classes, but I expect them to be full within the next few months.

If you want to train with Larry up here in either of these classes, I would get a hold of me sooner rather than later.
