Im still looking for a first aid pouch to put on my active shooter loadout vest. I have the maxpedition Fight Medical Pouch but it is just plain too big. Looking for something smaller..Id like to retain the rip-away..

Any ideas??

Just get an IFAK and be done with it. No need to reinvent the wheel (or first aid pouch as the case may be).

I'm a big fan of the Blue Force Gear Trauma Now pouch. It's kind of large, but not too large and has mole webbing for easy attachment of a benchmade hook, trauma shears, or a tourniquet. The inside panel has a flap that comes outside, you simply grab the flap and pull the panel out. Once you are done it easily slides back in, even when stuffed full of supplies. You would not be wasting your money on this pouch.

I use the ATS small med pouch. You can see a review on Military Moron's site here: http://www.militarymorons.com/equipment/emerg.html There are also reviews of several other med pouches located there.

I like the looks of the small ATS pouch. I have their large version (shown just below the small one on MM's website), and the quality and function is awesome, but it is sized for a pack where it now resides, not a first line belt. It's been a while since I looked at the SOE pouch, but something about it kept me from buying it.
