I think these are new. Has anyone tried one yet? I'm worried this style of holster might be a little thick being leather over kydex. Blade-tech makes a great product though so I'm eager to try. No HK holsters available yet.

Bill Rogers patented this process ~30 years ago, before he sold his holster company to Safariland. He had mentioned the possibility in earlier patents dating to the early 1970s.

Given that they are stitching through the kydex, I'd presume that the kydex is thinner that used in their all-kydex holsters. It is probably along the lines of the thin kydex that FIST offers. I doubt that they are overly thick.

These look like a nice adaptation of the Alessi's CQC-S design.

If you like the concept, check out Minotaur's line-up, they are a bit more refined.

This holster is of intrest to me. I am a huge fan of the Alessi CQC/S style. I wish the belt loops on this particular holster were wider though.
