Newbie Rail Information

I was Wondering if anybody has a good thread on rail Makes/Models and a complete rundown on the types rail systems and best place to look for one. Im thinking about Building and Ar15 And now im looking in to the Rail system i want to purchase for my build.
Still learning all the lingo-
If we have a good Ar Lingo Post on the website that would clear up a few Questions.

Which length gas system are you going to run?

What lingo in particular are you referring to? I'm assuming you found a couple threads but didn't understand some of the terminology used?
