View Full Version : Where is Spikes compared to the Tier 1 brands?

It seems pretty clear that Colt, BCM, DD, Novesky, and LMT are generally comparable in quality as major AR rifles and parts suppliers and that choosing among them is recommended by most knowledgeable folks here.

I'm wondering where Spikes fits in. Are Spikes AR's to be included in the grouping above ~or~ somewhat lower, somewhere between the Tier 1 group and the BM, DPMS, RR tier, or roughly comparable to the BM, DPMS, RR tier?

I'm interested in knowing more about the materials quality, testing procedures of barrels and bolts, and overall build quality.

I'm beginning to think about a build from scratch, and Spikes is among those suppliers I'm thinking about considering.

Mike... I've been trying to search, in vain.

I must be doing something wrong. When I do a search, I get a menu saying the search wants to result in a .php document to be opened in another application, which never seems to work. I've checked all the settings I can think of and keep coming up with a bad result. Is there anyone reading this who can help me get my searches to work?

I seem to be able to search all other forums with no problem. I'm only having problems with this forum... :sad:

It looks like searching M4Carbine.net from Google itself is much more effective than doing the search with the forum's own search tool - for me anyway. Very interesting. I like it. Thank you.

OP, Spikes is NOT on par with Colt, LMT, BCM, Noveske or DD, nor are they "milspec".

Anyone that suggests otherwise is either:

-Mistaken
-Misinformed
