Looking for some recommendations about where to start learning about precision rifle shooting/marksmanship. Any books or websites you guys could recommend?
I've been interested in taking up long range shooting and eventually maybe doing some competitions and am working on trading my custom 1911 for a nice precision rifle minus glass.
Right now I shoot pistols in IDPA and have some recreational rifle experience with sub 300 yd shooting but nothing out at the ranges you all talk about.

any advice or links for a noob would be appreciated.

+1 for snipercentral.com

Lots of good info over there, and good people to provide it.

I'm waiting for the day that Magpul produces a "The Art of the Tactical Precision Rifle" video. That should make for some good popcorn eaten.
