I've had good luck with both the Wilson and CMC mags.

I've also had good luck with the CMC. Dont have any trigger time on the others.

FWIW I have found the 10 round mags to be less reliable than the traditional 7 and 8 round mags. I only use mine for the range.

None. All of the 10 rd 1911 magazines we have tried over the past 25 years have had issues to some degree or another...

The 10rd CMC are the ones I've had the best reliability with, the Wilson 10's are dogs, and my results from the Tripps where mixed.

I am coming up for my biannual 1911 mag rebuilt. I replace springs and, if necessary, followers on those tubes that held up their feed lips and welds.
I keep Excel spreadsheet for all my weapons with round count, malfunctions etc., and separate Excel spreadsheet for 1911 magazines specifically, and I review all data before rebuilt.
Based on 5 years of data across 4 1911s, two of which were built by a master gunsmith, I am not going to rebuilt my 10 rounders any longer - Tripps or CMC.

Whichever run in your gun. Buy one of each and run them. If you're lucky, both will work well.

I have had no problems with either the Wilson mags or the CMCs. When a friend borrowed a couple of my CMC mags that ran fine in my pistols, they did not feed reliably in his (I have Wilsons, I think he had a Kimber).

IMHO, you need to find what will run well in your pistols, especially with the 10 rounders, which are generally viewed as less reliable overall.

CMC has worked well with me.

They don't fit in the famed SA TRP though. I asked this same question a while back and the Wilsons did not fare well in that post either. I do like their 8 rounders though.

Tripp make good stuff if their follower will work with your gun. My Baer doesn't like their 8 rounders but my wife's DW CBOB loves them.

CMC are a little more rugged and seem to be the choice of a lot of USPSA shooters.

I have only used the Wilsons. Mine have been great.

For 8 round mags I wouldn't use anything by WC.

For 10 rounds, my CMC mags have been flawless in my CQB, my Baer TRS and my Kobra.

A buddy I shoot with uses the CMC 10 round mags in his Gunsite/Colt and he hasn't had any problems either.

I've used the Chip McCormick 10rd. mags for several years without issues so far.

If you mod them, they can work 100%. If you break the angle at the top edge of the bump pad they will run as smooth as glass.

Just a very easy fix for an otherwise cost effective/reliable mag.

That said, I LOVE CMC 10 rounders. Mine have lasted for 1000's of rounds and are the cheapest of the three options.

Rezarf2, can you post a picture or drawing of what you were talking about to file down?

I have used Wilson 8 and 10 rders with excellent results. The 10rders are used as a spare for off-duty or plain clothes and I also have them in my "call out" vest and my grab bag in the front of my patrol car(a fanny pack stuffed with handgun and AR mags and a GSW kit).
