After hearing about Eotech's $50 rebate that they have going on right now, I decided it's finally time to get an optic on top of my weapon. I did some shopping and finally bought it from www.warrior-gear.com. I must say that it was a great experience ordering from them and that they have great customer service! I was also surprised by the goodies they threw in with my sight. Here's some pics of what came in the box and how my new XPS2-0 looks on the stick. Enjoy.

Nice pictures! I too took advantage of the EOTech rebates, along with a couple coupons at Optics Planet. They aren't the best outfit, but they have that "OPMOD" version of the EOTech XPS with a lower 1/3 cowitness QD mount for the same price as a standard xps2-0. I'm going to give it a try on my beater range rifle to see how it works out.

I'm a big fan of the OPMOD, and a big fan of Optics Planet. Great reseller in my experience. I just ordered another one to replace the T-1 on my SBR. Just couldn't warm up to that Aimpoint.

I saw the OPMOD version but was honestly scraping up just enough money to afford the regular version. I figured if I ever wanted to have a QD option, I could just order the one that GG&G makes for the Eotech's. However having the side mounted buttons would have been nice. Can't win em all when you're on a budget! Just glad I didn't settle and go with a cheaper quality RDS.

Also, what's the advantage of having a lower 1/3 co-witness as opposed to a perfect middle 1/2 co-witness? When I flipped my BUIS up, the reticle matches perfectly with the irons.

I prefer lower 1/3 co-witness on basically all of my AR's, primarily because it brings the sight up to a spot that's just a smidgen more comfortable for me. I also find it necessary on a gun with a front sight post, because I just don't like a RDS co-witnessed with my BUIS. Both reasons are totally personal preference. If you haven't tried a gun with the RDS set up for lower 1/3 co-witness, I'd suggest you borrow or try a gun set up as such to see if you prefer it.

I have an EOTech model 512 on the GG&G Accucam mount and it works quite well. It seems to rezero consistently enough for me (I'm primarily going for speed under 25 yards) and mounts solid. It is rather heavy, if that's the kind of thing you're prioritizing--I think just the lever has about as much material in it as my entire Daniel Defense Aimpoint Micro mount. A bit of an exaggeration, but probably not overly so.

Thanks! Word of advice: read the fine print in the title of the sight on warrior-gear.com. It says "Lowest Price Anywhere". Do some price shopping and hold them to it ;)
