Well after much thought, lose of sleep and asking a few questions in PMs (thanks soo very much for the help :D) I have decided on what I want. In the next few weeks I will be calling Wilson and getting a Stainless CQB made with ambi safety and mag well and the now standard type light rail.

The questions are 1) Does anyone make some of the classic designs for rail guns? Does Sparks have molds for these for the 55N and VM2 or is just a SOL situation?

I know there is Kydex holsters for them but I want a nice leather holster for it as well.

Second question.. Are 1911s with light rails IDPA legal? I have searched a little on Google and about all I can come up with is speculation on the extended dust cover (open to how it defined) and weight. The Wilson sight says the CQB Tactical is 41 oz empty.

I think Sparks does make VMIIs to fit 1911s with a rail.

1911s with rails are IDPA legal as long as they weigh 41oz or less and do not have full length dust covers or cone barrels.
