One early morning in 1942, a combination of US Army Cavalry Troopers and Philippine Scouts flanked the Japanese lines on the island of Luzon... As they pressed forward, the Lieutenant in command of the Troop observed Imperial Japanese Army forces near the village Morong... In the early morning light, he formed up his Troop in a clearing on the edge of the village and gave the commands “Form Into Line” and “Draw Pistols”…

Then for the last time in United States History he gave a single word command to mounted Cavalry Troopers facing a hostile enemy force… "Charge!!!" With 1911s a blazing they charged the exposed Japanese flank and routed the Imperial Japanese Army’s supply train winning the day...

The Battle of Morong was the Last Horse Cavalry Charge in United States History...

We will remeber them…

While not a U.S. Charge this is one most worthy rememberence.

Cannon to right of them,
Cannon to left of them,
Cannon in front of them
Volley'd and thunder'd;
Storm'd at with shot and shell,
Boldly they rode and well,
Into the jaws of Death,
Into the mouth of Hell
Rode the six hundred.
