View Full Version : front sling swivel
how do i remove it,do you drill out the pin or what.
It's held in with a rivet. Easiest way I've found is to use a large bladed Flat Head screwdriver as a Chisel to shear off the "cap" side of the rivet (I would equate this to the nut if it were a bolt/nut). Then, use a punch to drive the main part of the rivet through.

Work some CLP into one of the roll pins, then tap it out with a 1/8" roll pin punch and a hammer.

Sling swivel on FSB = one rivet. It could be drilled, cut off as above, or just punched out. Usually they're not flared very much.

Are we talking about a bottom-mounted sling swivel or a side-mounted one?
