Question about rear receiver QD sling swivel attachment points

Hi all,

Just a quick question: Do the rear receiver QD sling swivel attachment points such as the Daniel Defense and Noveske allow dirt/grime to get into the receiver when a sling swivel is not actually plugged into it? Is it just a big hole allowing access to the interior? Thanks.

Maybe it varies by receiver mfgr. Neither of my Noveske lowers (one "H" and one "E") go through to the receiver. Those swivel holes end blindly.

None of the receivers I've had apart or built were ever through and through. No issue.

It's just a little pocket there, nothing can get into the reciever at all. No worries...
