M&P-15 flash hider

Hey guys I have a M&P-15 (standard model), and I honestly dont know if the barrel is 16 inches with the A2 or without. I would like to install a Battlecomp but not if it involves cutting and repinning.
So my question is, is the barrel 14.5 or 16? Thanks

it is a 16" barrel without the flash hider

If its in its factory configuration it is 16" so you would just have to unscrew the A2 and replace with the BC. I am not personally aware of a 14.5" option from S&W yet.

The M&P15TS is a 14.5" barrel with a pinned and welded Vortex. But that's not what he's got since he would know that it's not the normal M&P15...

You could drop the cleaning rod down the barrel with the bolt closed to verify the length
