I personally cannot wait for this class. Larry’s 3-Day Advanced Handgun at U.S. Training Center is always one of the finest classes in the country. It’s certainly one of the high lights on my schedule every year.

FYI: We do have a limited number of seats available if anyone is interested in signing up; please feel free to do so. As always if you have any questions just let me know. I am always glad to help.

Another outstanding training day today. Larry hammered the crap out of the fundamentals. We did a ton of work on trigger control.

Oh! There is an easy way around those ridiculous Chesapeake Tolls too!

Day 2 - Whomever does the AAR should point out how too much time on steel is not ideal...

Hillcrest Pkwy exit, swings you by the WAWA, Cracker Barrel, Home Depot, Hardee's and a bunch others if you go west 1/4 mile.

Yeah. I thik we kind of hit a bit of a valley on TD-2. Speaking for myself, the steel started kicking my ass hard.

Things went a better on TD-3. As Larry said, when you are at Blackwater, you should take advantage of the advanced range features you can't find anywhere else.

Why is it not ideal?

Why is it not ideal?

The way Larry describes it, you have a 12"x12" plate of steel you are firing at - bulls-eye accuracy will tend to out the window, especially if you consider two consecutive shots could have them landing top left corner and bottom right corner. Pretty far apart.

For engaging multiple targets or engaging the movers - that was where the steel was outstanding.

Mind you, we are talking about pistols, not carbines or shorts for distance.
