I'm not quite sure if this should go in the lights section or here since it covers both, so I'm sorry if I'm in the wrong place.
I'm getting a Surefire X300 light for my new M&P9, and I'm wondering if the LaRue Surefire X200/X300 QD mount will work on the M&P.
Thanks.

Why not use the mount it comes with? It's already QD

I was not aware the stock mount was QD, thanks. Anything to say about the durability and robustness of it?

I've inadvertently used one to pad a fall trying to jump at speed. I would say they're pretty good.

Guess I'll stick with the stock mount then. :D
Thanks.

I have both and it would be impractical to use the LaRue mount on a handgun.

It is heavy and bulky. Like the others have said, the SF mount is great.

Just imagine what an abortion THAT holster would look like....

Like I said, works fine for me
