I recently saw an unmarked handguard that I can't quite figure out who manufactured it. It is 6 inches long and has more of an oval shape to it than round. 4 "rails" with the top one being about about 1/2" higher and 3" long The top of the handguard is cut back at this portion with the portion under this area having been machined like a tube.
I am not computer savy enough to post a picture but can email it to someone else that would be willing to post it.
Thanks,
WW

if the picture on your computer, or on the internet? if it's on the internet, all you do is right-click the picture, select "copy url of picture" or whatever the **** is says, then in the M4C post box, click the icon of a sunset (green and orange icon above the text box), and paste the picture location in that. click OK.

the handguard would have been 7" long, btw.. there wouldn't be much point to making a 6" handguard, since the carbine gas length is 7.5".. unless it's a free-float guard intended for 4" systems, i suppose..

I am thinking this may be for an AK or some other "black rifle" Haven't quite got it figured out yet. The shape and the configuration points in that direction.

UPDATE!!! I have since found out that this was made for ATK, which is a giant conglomerate with multiple holding in several companies. I have tried looking through their various websites and still haven't found this piece listed. Possibly it was manufactured for a limited government contract as they make everything from ammo to missles.
Still searching.......

Give the man a cigar!

It is definitely meant to go on an AK of one variety or another. Not sure who makes it though.

Sorry bout that part.

Looks like an aftermarket galil rail to me...

Looks like something I've seem in a CTD catalog before.

Like this maybe (it is pictured with rail covers, but looks very similar?):

Take that cigar away!!
It is for an FNH SCAR. Its an extended rail that goes in front of the front sight.

Finally! It is my biggest complaint about the SCAR; the handguard area is too small.
