A newbie question just bought an AR and got the one mag with it (Noveske Afghan 14.5) and it is 10 rd courtesy of my state laws...what are some good places and brands to buy additional mags. Are they all interchangeable polymer metal etc thanks for the advice

Use the search function to the top right of the screen located betwixt the "Calendar" and "faq" buttons.

This has been discussed very extensively and you should be able to find every and any answer you need wihtout doubling up on threads.
