Let me just say I love this handgun. 500 flawless rounds and not a single failure. Also just got my free 3 extra mags and mag pouch from SA.

Not a lot of XD fans on this forum. I have a couple that have served me well. The trigger on the new ones is much better.

Does the grip come that way from the factory?

No, there is a company that supplies laser cut grip tape. The color actually matches the slide, but the flash makes it look brighter. Definitely provides a better grip.

I liked the one I bought for my wife except for its trigger. I could never shoot it well strong hand only, but I put 14 different types of HP rounds thru it and it ate'm all flawlessly and never had a malfunction. Traded it for a jframe.
