I'm at the point in my build where I can start buying parts after a couple months of doing research. But I'm still stuck with two options. Now I know a lot of this is going to be a matter of personal opinion but I think advice will help. So my question is this.
If you had the choice between a BCM or centurian arms upper what would you choose and why?

Id have to know more details than just brand to make a choice...

Ok both 14.5 in barrels the only difference in the 2 really the centurian is a hammer forged barrel and the bcm is just what they call their standard barrel. Basically just a stripped barreled receiver.
I would do the centurion. Their barrels are great!

They have hammer forged barrels on their uppers for the same price as bcm's vanilla barrel'd uppers?

No the centurian cost a little bit more than the bcm and at the moment bcm doesnt offer the 14.5 in the hammer forged or atleast last time i was on their site they were not showing one.
I just looked, and BCM only has the BFH 14.5's in the Midlengths.
I was surprised by this.
But then I don't want a Carbine length gas system anyway, let alone a permanently attached muzzle device.

Ive decided to go with centurian and also a 16" barrel instead of the 14.5 for now so that I dont have to deal with a tax stamp.
