You definitely need a low pro gas block and a very long rail to make this happen. Also realize the weight that you're going to add with a rail that long. This is about the longest thing I've seen http://www.midwestindustriesinc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_id=373

Sorry if this a dumb question but I want to add a Noveske KX3 Flash Suppressor, but on my 16" AR I want to know if there is a way to get a rail extension or something to be flush with the flash suppressor?

Note in the picture of the rifle in the link, thats shorter than 16" but I want my rail and flash suppressor to be flush as it does in the pic...

In the photo you linked to, the flash suppressor isn't "flush," it's sitting inside of the rail by about 3/4". You're not going to get that look unless the KX3 is under the rail (or precisely aligned where the rail ends).

Your best bet is to SBR your rifle so you can use any barrel length... and the fit it with the Troy TRX rail. According to this thread (https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=34168&page=3), the TRX will allow a KX3 to fit inside of it. A 10.5" barrel would work best with what you're proposing.

Alternatively, you pin the KX3 to a 13" barrel (Noveske makes a 13.7" [the Infidel]). Their will be a short gap between where the handguard ends and the KX3 starts, but not by much.

SKYYR...good stuff, yea, i think the SBR option will have to be the way to go. I wish I could recall the rifle and details I saw at the gun show this weekend, since it looked 16". But yes, i agree thnx!

Just a heads up, the KX3 is not a "flash suppressor" it's a gas booster to increase back pressure.
There are some Youtube Videos (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrdojpFUp4c) that show how in-effective they work for flash suppression.

If you are looking for "flash suppression" there are better options out there.

I have used one on a 20" rifle gas length gun cut to 16" it helps increasing the lost back pressure. But still throws bright pumpkin sized flame balls at dusk. Not a big deal for fighting paper targets.

FYI - The KX3 does not fit inside a TRX rail unless you remove some material from the inside of the rail. I should say does not easily fit. Either my KX3 was a few thousandths of an inch too big or the inside of the TRX was a few thousandths too small. Scratched my KX3 all to hell trying to fit the rail over it. YMMV.

The KX3 will partially fit inside a Vltor Viz upper. I am using the 30 cal KX3 on my 7.5" Noveske Diplomat chambered in 6.8 SPC. Works like a charm and everyone standing next to me appreciates it.

Here is a KX3 on a 16" barrel with a LaRue 11" quad rail.

This upper is being SBR'd with a 12.5" barrel so the KX3 fits flush to the rails.
That was my solution.

BTW - Tax stamp arrived yesterday so photos will follow when time permits.
