I had to sell 2 Sig 556 rifes to fund this one LWRC, but I haven't ever been happy holding a weapon in my life : ). I think the first night I got it, it spent the night in bed with me.

This began as the American Snipers Edition LWRC M6A2-S from Northwest Tactical.

What this edition includes (if you haven't seen their threads):

- Cerakote FDE color
- M6A2-S (stretched midlength piston upper)
- 14.7" SPIRAL fluted barrel
- AAC Blackout flash hider (PA) with suppressor mount
- Geissele SSA 2 stage trigger
- BCM Gunfighter Mod 4 (med) charging handle
- 36" LWRC case
- t shirt, etc

What I've added:

- LMT SOPMOD stock (blk)
- Magpul MIAD grip (blk)
- Magpul aluminum trigger guard (blk)
- LWRC BUIS by Troy (traded for black)
- TangoDown short vert grip with QD
- TangoDown SCAR rail panels on sides
- Magpul Ladder rail covers on top/bottom
- Surefire X300 light mounted at 9:00 (activated with thumb in "crotch grip")
- Daniel Defense rear receiver QD socket mount
- Larue Tactical VTAC padded sling with QD buttons
- Aimpoint T-1 RDS with Larue 660 tall mount
- Aimpoint 3x Magnifier on flip to side Larue 649 tall mount
- Troy ambidextrous bolt release
- Engraved ejection port cover for fun
- bunch of PMAGS and Ranger plates

I think it's finally set up exactly how I want it. I can remove the light and/or 3x magnifier if I want to lighten it up for carbine courses during daytime, etc. I can't wait to go sight her in and put some rounds through! Even with everything on it, I was surprised how light it is. Maybe the fluting makes some noticeable difference... or I'm just used to the 20 lb Sigs.

Let me know what you think!

You may want to stake that castle nut unless it is special and has some other locking method.

Hmm well honestly I don't even know what staking means. I took this to a gunsmith to install and I specifically verified that they were going to properly stake the nut back on (since I had read to do so on other forums). Can you tell that it is not staked from that picture? Do I need to post a different pic angle to see anything else? If it's not done right and I paid them to do it (Hyatt Gun in Charlotte), I'm not going to be happy and will bring it right back to them...

That is a sweet set up. I love that barrel. Wish they had that when I bought my M6A2, along with the longer gas system.

Have you thought of putting the X300 on the 12 o'clock rail and moving the sight back? That's how I run mine, veeerrrryyyy nice.

The beauty of LWRC is that many of the parts/features you would typically upgrade to, are already there.

No offense whatsoever meant to the OP who personalized his already (somewhat at least) customized rifle.

M6A2-S...It's a MIDDY (for what that's worth in a piston).

How are you going to stake an aluminum end plate or is it steel?
