We do lots of AK work but just once in a while we get to do something special for someone.

This gun started out life as an SGL21-61 we spent some time in it and on it.

The end user is a guy who has been on the 2 way range for this country in the last few years.

He had some ideas for the gun and we brought some things to the table for him to consider in the end the gun is one nice carbine.

The muzzle device on this gun is an AK74 stile muzzle brake that is fine but at night it is harsh in regards to flash.
That device is 24 x 1.5 threads so it is big to say the least.

We cut it off at the muzzle device and threaded the barrel 14.1 left hand thread so we could use both 14.1left hand and 24x1.5 on the same gun just so you can run either thread.

What do you think about the work?

I like it a lot...I'm curious about the stock setup. Who makes the folder, Ace? and what sort of tube is under the moe? I love how compact it is.

Ace makes the folder the tube is just a mill spec buffer tube.
We just did not use a castle nut with it.

Thank you

I'm seeing more of that stock configuration, and I really like it.

Same here. I'm not an AR stock on an AK fan, but I like that setup a lot. Tell him thanks for his service. That is one nice looking AK

This is IMO a great set up. I have mine (http://www.canonshooter.com/photos2/ak103k-16.jpg) set up almost identically, but with the light mounted on the right side and the pressure switch bonded to the lower handguard on the left.

Let us know if you have any feedback from the user on this set up!
