I'm using one in my avatar pic. Fantastic mags and they work 100%

That is a lot of bullets in one go. I bet it helps shave some time off a stage.

Weight wise do you notice any difference over say, a 30 rounder?

The weight is negligible, especially if you're used to coupled mags. I like watching guys forget to drop the big stick and try to go prone.:p

Yep that is funny when it happens.

Not to get too off topic, but I like the looks of your 3 gun set up. Is that a burris 1x4?

I tried the cant the rifle method. But the extra length in the mag made getting the rifle mounted time consuming.

Yes it's a Burris XTR 1-4x in a Bobro 30mm mount.

Looks like you have one of the new Nordic extensions for PMAGs. I have one of those too but haven't shot with it yet.

For that really low port stage I did the Urban/Roll-over prone which worked well for me. I was using 30 round PMAGs for this stage.

In hind sight, that was the way to go. It just took me to long to get set up canting the rifle... live and learn. Couple of guys went prone with a 20 round mag and were able to shoot prone in the normal position.

The nordic extension have been 100% for me. I picked up a couple of Lance mags at the match to try

Thread drift - 30rd Lancer feedback.

I picked up a Lancer L5 30 rounder a few months ago. I had a few issues with it not engaging the bolt stop when empty and occasionally not feeding rounds properly (they ended up nose-down at the base of the feed ramp - I'm running a BCM 14.5" middy upper). Admittedly, it was some super crappy Tula .223 55gr ammo. However, the PMAGs and Brownells' aluminum 30rd mags w/ CS springs never had any issues with the Tula.

However, I recently upgraded the Lancer L5's spring to a Brownells std power CS 30rd magazine spring and, VOILA! No more issues of any kind. The Lancer is now tied for the lead as one of my favorite magazines. :)

And, if you get them from b*tach tactical ($9.95), you can't beat the price with a stick.

To be clear, I'm not blaming Lancer or the magazine for the function issues....I suspect the magazine's spring may have been a lemon from the git-go. Regardless, having a CS spring that is much less prone to taking a set (I leave it loaded to 30rds for HD duty) is a definite plus for me.

Bottom line: I'll definitely buy more Lancers.
