View Full Version : Swaro Z6i 1-6X for Tactical Use?
I just ordered a Swaro Z6i 1-6X to mostly use for 3 Gun on either my .223 or my .308.
I also have some other ARs that are more for "tactical" purpose even though it's not my line of work. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has run this optic hard for LE, carbine classes, etc. as an option on a "fighting" gun for lack of a better term.
I'm getting ready to order a KAC SR-25 EMC and I'm thinking about using on this. I realize that it really depends on the intended purpose which is why I like the versatility of this optic, but I'd appreciate any feedback on the durability compared to other 1-4X type optics.
Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving!
I think Alaskapopo might use one? PM him, he will probably find this thread too.

Mine has held up fine through training, competitions and general range use. Its a tough scope that I trust my life to. I still use the Circle dot version on my patrol rifle. The new BRT version is on my new three gun stick.

Thanks for the info! I can't wait to get mine.
I really like the online program that Swaro has so you know exactly what range the horizontal marks correspond to for any given load with the BRT reticle.
I've also got a ballistic software program on my iTouch, but I will hardly ever need it now.
I should contact Swarovski to see if they can make their program available on the iTouch/iPhone/iPad platform.
Nice sticks BTW. I've got a couple Noveskes and I've thought about getting the NST upper as a back up for 3 Gun, but I'm waiting to get one of their new 300 AAC BLACKOUT uppers for other purposes.

The Swaro is well thought out in the fact that they do not have a illumination knob on the left side of the scope that would be in the FOV when using the 1x setting and both eyes open.
