View Full Version : BUIS Q
Are there any rear back up iron sights (besides a carry handle) that allow for elevation?
It seems that most that I've seen allow adjustment for windage but you have to fiddle with the front sight to move bullet impact up or down.
Thanks!
KAC 200-600 meter BUIS.

Elevation adjustable rear sights are useless, thats why you don't see more of them available. The elevation adjustment on the M16/M4 carry handle is for zeroing only.

Lets play this out. Your in a firefight, you just finished engaging a target at 200. You see some dirka-dirka's coming over a hill. Your range card tells you that they are at 450. Are you really going to take time and dial up your rear sight or are you gonna just start putting rounds on target? Let's not forget to mention that they are "back up iron sights".

Thats a good point I was actually sitting around wondering why I don't see very many BUIS with elevation adj. as I am searching for parts for a build. Saved me from having to create another thread.
