Not sure what to think of this, but I'm looking forward to the comments!

The picture is certainly thought-provoking!

The military has strategized and planned for this for decades and longer... No big news. The now-defunct publication, The Resister, put out by the "Special Forces Underground" back in the 90's was probably the most informative about this training, as well as their warnings about how it could be abused. I still have all the issues I re-read occasionally and am always amased at how accurate their warnings were...

I guess it is best to BE PREPARED and live RURAL so you do not have to be concerned when it all busts loose...

I would imagine (pray) that this is riot control. Anything beyond that is too counter productive.

The National Guard trains for this regularly. It's required annual training, IIRC.

You are correct.

I find it absolutely hilarious that they've ensured that the entrance to the "Bunny House" with "Live XXX" is behind their front line.

Well it's just like with anything else in life, you have to have a clear understanding of what your priorities are. :)

This is kind of interesting... Here's the link to the Official US Army's website where it lists the PDF official document Army Regulation 210-35 the Civilian Inmate Labor Program. http://www.army.mil/usapa/epubs/pdf/r210_35.pdf This is where it details the building & operations of prison camps on U.S. military bases.

Just for fun Google: REX84

Don't you worry about that. They'll slash the military to the bone before a single entitlement is touched.

Rex 84, short for Readiness Exercise 1984, is a contingency plan developed by the United States federal government to suspend the United States Constitution, declare martial law, place military commanders in charge of state and local governments, and detain large numbers of American citizens who were deemed to be "national security threats", in the event that the President declared a "State of Domestic National Emergency". The plan stated that events that might cause such a declaration would be widespread U.S. opposition to a U.S. military invasion abroad, such as if the United States were to directly invade Central America[1][2][3][4][5][6]. To combat what the government perceived as "subversive activities", the plan also authorized the military to direct ordered movements of civilian populations at state and regional levels.[7]

Rex 84 was written by Lieutenant Colonel Oliver North, who was both the NSC White House Aide and NSC liaison to FEMA, and John Brinkerhoff, the deputy director of "national preparedness" programs for FEMA.

But Glenn Beck said there are no FEMA camps.

" These camps are to be operated by FEMA should martial law need to be implemented in the United States and all it would take is a presidential signature on a proclamation and the attorney general's signature on a warrant to which a list of names is attached."

Would people who post here be on the list? Janet Incompetano thinks that owning a gun or serving in the military makes you a "right wing extremist".

Section 1076 is titled "Use of the Armed Forces in major public emergencies." It provided that:

The President may employ the armed forces... to... restore public order and enforce the laws of the United States when, as a result of a natural disaster, epidemic, or other serious public health emergency, terrorist attack or incident, or other condition... the President determines that... domestic violence has occurred to such an extent that the constituted authorities of the State or possession are incapable of maintaining public order... or [to] suppress, in a State, any insurrection, domestic violence, unlawful combination, or conspiracy if such... a condition... so hinders the execution of the laws... that any part or class of its people is deprived of a right, privilege, immunity, or protection named in the Constitution and secured by law... or opposes or obstructs the execution of the laws of the United States or impedes the course of justice under those laws.[5]

The republicans passed Posse Comitatus and sold the blacks down the river to get Hayes into the presidency.

Using Federal troops to put down a civil riot? Hmm, sounds like when Gov. Romney and LBJ called in the 82nd and 101st Airborne to restore order in Detroit back in '67. Still remember the Hueys flying over the house that hot July day...

If shit goes down in the worst way, do you really think a couple of badges are all that will be used to restore order.

You can bet your ass there will be a wall of ACU impeding the progress of chaos.

My unit did this, convoy security and infantry training more than putting arty downrange. I got out in March 06 and hadn't seen a Paladin since July 2003. We didn't even take our Paladins over to the sandbox.

When I was in the Virginia Nat'l Guard in college, this was a yearly training weekend.

We actually had a lot of fun with it... being the 'opfor' was a hoot, tossing foot powder on fellow Guardsmen, etc.
